@JNJN, Honestly, I cannot answer your query for a H2H comparison of JP Decagon 111 facets vs WF ACA 57 facets. If you refer to my flippingbook link (https://online.flippingbook.com/view/304160822/), you can see how my wife's Decagon 111 stacks up to MRB 57 3X or SIC on the consecutive page for optical performances. I was initially seriously trying to decide between, ACA, BG BLACK and GOG SICs. Then I saw JP's vid comparing H2H Decagon 111 facets vs 57 facets for both SIC and 3Ex respective light performances (
). That was the clincher. Remember JP's Master Cutter spends more time to fashion, polish and brillianteer nearly twice as many facets compared to 57 and notice his optical symmetry perfection, H&As, of his master crafting vs others' H&As.

I can say that compared to my wife's old BN Ideal 1 ctw earrings, BNs have chunkier fire and scintillation but Decagons have more noticeable edge to edge brilliance, smaller with more chunks of fire and sparkles. Perhaps other Decagon/10 H&A owners, @XHellfireX or @jewels4life, can chime in to answer your question. You can also book a JP appt and have a real time comparison. Hope this helps somewhat.

Hey JnJn. The jaan Paul is .85 and bg is .60 on a 3.5 finger. I’ll take some videos in the sun tomorrow. :)

I initially thought "oh, they're both really nice. I think I've hit the valley of diminishing returns", but overall between all the videos I can tell a difference after looking at them for more than a few seconds. To my eye, the JP Decagon clearly looks more interesting and has more contrast with the facets turning on and off more rapidly than the BG MTB. I'd choose the Decagon for sure.

Thank you Emmy12. I’ve had my new ring for about 7 weeks now. Having the ability to look at both my rings everyday has given me the ability to see the beauty in both. While both beautiful, the facets in my jp make me so happy. I Have zero regrets.

Hey Jewels! It has been a few months I was hoping to get an update from you on your white series??

I have been searching for modified brilliant cuts vs super ideal cuts, and have spoken with JP. For what I am looking for he said it would take 7 months. So I wanted to check in with you to see how you are feeling about yours?

I am still head over heels in love with my decagon stone. I can’t get over how much it sparkles and how stunning it looks in every light. It makes my heart so happy. Zero regrets and I plan on getting a bigger one when we can afford it. Sounds like you’d be waiting a bit to get yours, but I promise you, it will be worth it in the end!

David S Diamonds had some solasfera cuts in the range for what I am looking for and I know JP used to sell Solasfera and the white series replaced it. If you have seen solasfera how might you compare it to that? I know some people seem to dislike solasfera but everyone seems to be loving the white series so I was curious to know how they might be different (solasfera 92 facet 8 arrows I believe, white series 111 facets 10 arrows?)

I’m sorry, I haven’t ever seen the solasfera cut before. I did find this old info from jp when they used to sell them . Perhaps you’ll find that useful

Looks like solasfera also has 10 H & A, but decagon manages to offer more dispersion across the whole crown face up and is said to be maintain its arrow patterns as well as light performance under wilder tilt angles.

I think the best way is to talk with JP~

JP told that there are several reasons Solasfera is no longer offered.
1. On H&As, they were noticing clustering around the bases of the arrows indicating imprecise polishing.
2. There was an issue with patent infringement with a cutter who was bootlegging Solasferas.
3. In JP's opinion, Decagon's optical performance surpasses.

Sorry to thread Jack, but has anyone ever seen a decagon and a round 10 H&A at the same time? I'm curious if the shape difference impacts the visuals or performance, or if they look super similar IRL

Dr I was speaking with Eugene and he was talking about taxes and he said sometimes people have to pay the 5.5% tax he said you did not, anything I can do to avoid that tax?

Chloe worked on my behalf with the FedEx agent on how to properly word the US-SG FTA form to qualify for duty free. It may take months for the approval. Caveat: I had to pay CA state sales tax at 9.25%!
