Garner Inadvertently Reveals Baby''s Sex

Are Ben and Jen expecting a girl? Jennifer Garner appeared on NBC''s "Tonight Show" on Tuesday night, and seemed to refer to her baby as a "she."

"You can just start to feel really pregnant. Like you are the hugest person on the face of the planet. ... And then I felt just bigger and bigger like she ..." Oops. Garner put both hands over her mouth.

"We have one or the other for sure," replied Garner, who is married to her "Daredevil" co-star Ben Affleck.

The 33-year-old actress stars as Sydney Bristow on ABC''s "Alias," which returns Thursday for its fifth season.

Garner''s pregnancy was written into the show, even though her character is a globe-trotting spy.

"My stand-in has a little bump. My stunt double has a bump, and the other day I walked in, and my stunt double just looked a little different to me and I said, `Did they graduate your bump?'' ... And she said, `Yeah, we went to a bigger bump.''"

Garner and Affleck were married in June. Their baby is due around Christmas.

Hehehe, I watched it last night...she was just talking about feeling REALLY pregnant and she was referring to the growth of the baby, and totally let a "she" slip out...the instant the word was out of her mouth her eyes got huge and she slapped her hand over her mouth (picture above)...it was priceless!

They said tabloids were saying it was a girl but her and Ben never confirmed it.

I absolutely love Jen Garner, I think she is adorable!! I''m really glad that Ben found someone who is a "normal" celebrity just like him. Jen Garner''s not into all the publicity, and glamour, and all that stuff that JLO was into. Congrats Ben and Jen (Garner, that is...)!!

I remember reading a couple months ago that they were having a girl. She also slipped at the Emmy''s too. I saw it on ET or one of those shows.

I totally agree. What is the big deal?

LLL/MMM: i guess with everything else about their life being so public and known by all, they want to have some form of privacy in their life and perhaps keeping their child sex a secret is one of the smallest things they can hold on to and have it be ''just theirs'' and not for the world to share..obviously she didn''t do quite a good job keeping it a secret though! haha..poor thing

See, I admire celebs who at least TRY to keep some part of their life private. Yeah, people wanna know, and yeah, it may leak out anyway, but I think it''s pathetic the celebs who completely whore themselves out and air everything about their private life for a tabloid and fame and money from People magazine. It''s nice to think you can try and keep some things for just yourself ... Being a celeb doesn''t mean you should have to give up every aspect of your privacy. I think it''s cute that she let it slip accidentally though ...

Unfortunately a lot of celebs thrive on publicity and need it for their career, but then bitch about it! That''s a little ridiculous to me - either stay out of the media and try and keep a "private" life like, say, Jodie Foster, or whore yourself out like Britney and Kevin and at least admit that you need to do that to keep your famous-status. But then don''t bitch when nothing in your life is sacred ...

The truth is that nobody outside of the couple *really* cares about the sex of the baby, famous or not. It''s just fun to know.

I can only say that from my own experience, we wanted to keep the gender private because we just wanted one thing for ourselves. Both sides of the family were fawning all over us, asking questions every step of the way when I was pregnant, and as nice as that is, we just wanted to keep a little something just for us. Of course it''s no big deal, but I understand wanting to keep it quiet for a while.
