Being at the last Las Vegas show, we attended a seminar given by Carrie Soucy of JCK Magazine called “Hot Trends in Color and Design.” The main color trend had moved from soft pink palette of last year to the deeper shades of violet and purple.
Two toned gold is still in.
Ribbons, lace, their combinations with jewelry, and the latter in the form of ribbon and lace are all very fashionable, along with any feminine styles.
Piles of pearls!
Alternative materials are still here.
The main change is that necklaces are out, brooches in. They should be worn in nontraditional places such as the belt.
Bridal: squarish cuts are still very popular.
Drop earrings have replaced chandelier.
Bracelets: the wider, the better, but not bulky.
Men want masculine design. (Why wouldn’t they?
