And we went to Selix, where they actually let you try on the tux''s before you order them and he ordered a two button notch collar After Six Tux with a light Ivory microfiber shirt and light ivory vest and tie. He looked so hot I about jumped him there and then!! LOL. Can''t wait till the wedding!

Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend Selix as an alternative to Mens Warehouse for Tux''s where they don''t let you try anything on and you have to pic everything from a book. Prices were very good too. He got a package for him and his BM with everything included in it. Best Man will wear same tux, same hanky thing. But the vest and tie while the same exact style and fabric will be black. Gonna look really good!

Oh, and BBB is where we found the wedding band. In Pleasanton Mall, which is my LEAST fav store. But I think the change in BBB management has improved things because we got MUCH better service there.

Oh and the re-set on my ring has done it''s job. For the FIRST TIME EVER I got two correct stone shape ID''s from salespeople and no ''princess'' comments. I was SHOCKED. SHOCKED I tell you!

Okay enough rambling. We had a really nice day and got a lot done!

I really like it! It''s different without being flashy, which is hard to do on men''s rings I think.

I really like it too! And it totally suits him, and looks great on his hand. I''ve asked Pearlmans for a qoute. They are my favorite vendor EVER and I''ve never bought from them, so I really want to get John''s band from them. Bill is just.... THE MAN. In Palladium. Felt nice too, the sample BBB had was paladium so we got to see and feel the ''exact'' ring. Except the one in the store was WAY big. His ring size is 8.5.

His hands don''t look small, but I was like "Whaaaaaaaaaa?"

Gypsy, John''s ring is really cool. It''s simple yet not. I am so happy for you. You have done so much in the past few weeks and John''s been on the ball too. I''m need to follow your great example.

Thanks for the compliment gtn. I''m really motivated, but it''s not that admirable. Mostly, as long as I''m busy planning I can avoid the whole taking care of my skin, dieting and exercising thing which I REALLY REALLY need to get on the ball about and have been totally and COMPLETELY avoiding! My face is a mess, my skin has never been this bad, my hair is ratty and needs a cut, I''ve gained a bit of weight, and I have ZERO muscle tone. So... not so admirable. At all. I may be a well planned bride, but at the moment I''m a REALLY unattractive one.

I like John''s band-it''s different in a subtle way-very nice.

As for the rest-oh shush! We all go through rough skin times-mine was seriously the worst it had ever been a few months ago! Let me highly recommend Retin-A micro-I went to the dermatologist, got Retin-A and a topical liquid antibiotic, and my skin was VERY clear after about 2 weeks. So don''t despair!

And as for hair-no biggie-an hour at the salon and you''re back to beautiful tresses! Same goes for toning up-the wedding''s not until September-plenty of time to hit the gym!

So there!

Is it just me or do most guys become about 5 times hotter when they clean up and put on something decent? Looks like you''re getting though that mountain of stuff.

Gypsy, I love John''s wedding band, so cool. As for you, gosh you have been through a lot. Take this time to look after yourself. I don''t know if you already see a dermatologist, but that would be on my list. If you want to be toned join a gym that has the brides work out, someone posted about it today. Glad you guys got so much accomplished today. Must be a great feeling.

Wow, you are getting after that list! That ring is great and so is the tux - very nice.

Freke - there is something about putting a guy in a suit/tux that just makes him hot.. usually.

Both the ring and the tux jacket look great! Good going on the palladium as well...I think John will be pleased with the weight and comfort and durability of the metal.

Hey eveyone! Thanks for popping in!

Oh I'm loving that you all like the ring as much as we do. I think he's going to be happy with the palladium too Monnie!

Ring and Tux shopping made the whole wedding thing so REAL-- We're GETTING MARRIED! Mom's going in for surgery again on the 10th of March though, so that's another reason I've been blasting through my to do list, if God forbid something doesn't go well, I'm not gonna be in any shape to deal with this stuff.

Its a wonderful feeling though to get all this done. Not jut because of the checklist accomplishments, but also because we really bonded today and connected. It's so easy to get involved in this wedding stuff, and forget it's about a marriage and today reallly affirmed that.

I don't see a dermatologist, but I will, my skin is TERRIBLE. Huge welts! I never had anything like this even in my teens! Retin A, here I come. ... And next week I'll go in for a hair cut. And get my brows waxed. I'm a mess.

We just joined a gym in January, .... um, well. We bought a membership. I haven't gone. But I have promised myself I'll start going, and now that I know that there maybe a bridal workout program, I'll ask about it.

Thank you so much for the pop in! I really appreciate it.

I promise you Kaleigh, I will look after myself. I've been wondering how you are, actually. How are things with you?

I love John''s wedding band! Very nice choice. His tux looks great. I''ve never heard of Selix. We got our tuxes at Men''s Warehouse and I was so annoyed that I couldn''t actually see the guys in them before we placed the order. It was very difficult picking a vest and tie simply from looking through swatches. It would have been nice if they could have tried something on.

Anyway, great choices and I''m happy you''ve decided.

Hey Miss Gypsy, great that things are coming together so well!

I also broke out with the worst skin EVER for the last couple of months. Definitely go to a dermatologist who can try to figure out what would work best for your specfic issues. I just recently did and my skin is already clearing up fast. I''ve got doxycyclin and a testosterone suppressant. Apparently, if you break out worst during week 3 of the ol'' cycle, then it''s partly caused by t-rone surge on day 14, which increases gunk-production in your pores, which a week after that becomes... spots. So I''ll just see how it goes over the next few weeks!

But def, do the derm.

I totally agree-I love seeing D when he''s dressed up!

John''s band is beautiful Gypsy. It''s unusual without being over the top at all.

I''m so glad to hear that wedding planning is going smoothly. John''s ring looks great, the tux looks great, and your checklist is getting shorter and shorter. All good news, but as Kaleigh/Lisa/? said, it''s time to slow down a bit and re-charge your batteries.

As I mentioned before, I''m so sorry your mom has to go back for a third or fourth surgery in March. The poor lady has had enough surgery already. (((BIG HUGS))))

Anyway, take care of yourself whenever you can. Let John pamper you whenever possible; from past posts, he''s a terrific cook and , in my mind, as you know, John''s the best

J''s ring looks very nice! Manly but with a cool factor. I agree about men looking great in a good tux!
