For those of us with June 20th weddings weather.com is now showing our day in the 10 day forecast.

Unfortunately, I have a 60% chance of showers. My stomach just sank.

How is your day looking in your neck of the woods?

well, it''s not my wedding, but june 20th is my birthday - and i''m having an outdoor party in my newly landscaped back yard.

unless it pours.

which it probably will. (scattered thunderstorms with 60% chance of rain predicted)

Don't lose hope. 10 day weather forecasts are never that accurate (although I checked mine several times a day up until the wedding

)

On my wedding day, there was an 80% chance of rain and severe thunderstorms. And you know what? It didn't rain a drop.

Try not to worry about something you can't control. I'm sure your day will be beautiful!

I''m in my FSIL''s wedding on the 20th. Ugh, scattered thunderstorms and high of 88F. It''s in Naples, FL -- can you imagine the humidity? Guess I won''t be curling my hair after all.

I realize the 10 day isn''t that accurate but it still makes me feel ill after all this planning we have done. I just don''t want to ruin the gorgeous hem of my dress!

Guess I better start hunting for some cute, coordinating HUGE umbrellas this weekend!

I know this is easy to say, but don''t you dare let this ruin your week, Claritek!!!! First of all, I agree that 10-day forecasts are almost always wrong (especially weather.com...like, I honestly can''t remember the last time they got something right--no joke), and secondly, it''s going to be a GORGEOUS, WONDERFUL wedding, REGARDLESS of weather! You won''t even NOTICE the weather!!!

Wishing you happy thoughts and sunny skies!!! (though, actually--you know that the best weather for photographs is actually overcast; from what I''ve been told, it provides much more flattering lighting!)

happy birthday for the 19th, sunnyd! :)

and i''ll be keeping my fingers crossed for you, clairitek - even if your wedding is rainy, i''m wishing you a marriage filled with blue skies and sunny days. :)

oh poop - that was meant to say the 18th - typo sunnyd - sorry!

Same here..I am sooo scared.

And it''s supposed to be 90 omg.

I want my outdoor garden wedding dangit!

Don''t worry about it yet! I did the same thing before my wedding (I was so worried about rain turning to ice or a snowstorm), but even in the space of just 2 or 3 days the forecast changed a whole bunch of times - rain, sun, rain, snow, rain, sun. In the end there were a couple showers in the morning and it was 60 degrees and sunny for the wedding. In the beginning of February. I worried for nothing!

Oh Ctek, please don''t worry yet! Weather.com is NEVER accurate 10 days out. Really. To the point where if it says it''s going to be bad it''s practically a good sign since it will inevitably change.

I know this is easier said than done, as an outdoor bride I will prob be checking and freaking myself so I can imagine how you are feeling.

7 days out and the forecast is now saying 40% chance of showers on my day. I can see a huge glob of storms that are currently in the Rockies area so I figure that is the junk that could stand to ruin my day.

I fear not though because I purchased an awesomely colorful rainbow golf umbrella today (inspired by the few pics Violet02 posted with her rainbow one) and 6 littler umbrellas to take fun pictures outside with my BP. My MOH pointed out that when its foggy and grey out the colors really pop (like green grass and trees!) and that she thinks that pictures in a foggy atmosphere would be really romantic. I do love this woman... she always says the right thing.

The down side of the storms slowing a little is that now we are showing 60% chance of showers on the day we are supposed to be out on a schooner for 2 hours. I know I can handle rain while sailing but I am not so sure about some of our guests. I''m getting on that boat though unless there is threat of lightening!
