Just a quick note from barcelona......

to let you guys know that I´M ENGAGED!!!!
WOOHOO

He took me to Barcelona yesterday and today when we were on a cablecar overlooking all of Barcelona he got down on one knee! I´m so excited! I´ll be back home tomorrow so I will try and fill you in on all the details but right now we´re about to go drink our jug of champagne sangria to celebrate. We´ve spent the last hour ringing friends and have been having so much fun. Will post pics etc when I get back!

Well I''m back

. Just flew in this morning after the most amazing day and a half in Barcelona. We arrived on Saturday at about lunch time, checked into our hotel and went straight down to the port area and got some tapas and sangria. We did one of the bus loop tours that day and went out for more drinks etc that night. The next day we got up early and went to Sagrada familia and went right up the top of one of the towers. He was being really romantic and I was wondering was he going to propose, but I felt really rough after the drinks the night before (I usually don''t drink much!) and we hadn''t had breakfast yet, so I was feeling a bit faint and he wasn''t feeling great either, so I was secretly relieved when he didn''t do it then. We got breakfast and felt a lot better afterwards and we went on to Park Guell where Gaudi''s house was. When we were in Barcelona before, this was our favourite place. It was obviously a favourite for others too as it was swamped with people. It was an amazing day (about 38 degrees celcius). We stayed there for a while and then D was hungry again so we went to get Tapas.
We then switched to the other bus line and D wanted to go on the cablecars. It didn''t even cross my mind that he would do it on there as we both don''t like heights much so I was clinging onto the side of it and then he got down on one knee, told me he wanted to be with me forever and asked me to marry him. It was amazing and so much better than I could ever have imagined. We went up to the castle at the top of the cablecars, had a look around and then went down to the port and rang all our family and friends.
One of my favourite things was actually hearing him telling all our friends that we were engaged and he was so happy and chuffed with himself. He originally was going to text most people but once he had rang one or two, he couldn''t stop-he rang nearly all of his phone book! Well without further ado, some pics (I haven''t got many on my mac yet as we only got in about three hours ago but I will try and get more later)..
