Just got home and wanted to check in...as a newlywed!!

It all goes so fast...we had a lot of out of town people and had about 40 people at the rehearsal dinner..every second of our wedding day was wonderful..just an incredible day!!!! We just got home from the airport and are very sleepy from a 12 hour plane trip, but I''ll post the one picture that I have so far!!!!! Best wishes to all you LIWs and bride gals.

The only word of wisdom I can share is...have everything in order before the actual wedding day (meaning balances due to vendors and all the other details). I was actually making my hairpins three hours before the ceremony and having difficulty concentrating on anything for more than 30 seconds at a time. It was so much fun...but so crazy.

I only had one bridal meltdown...embarrasing but too funny. We had the rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding. I was in Michaels buying thumbtacks (for the chinese lanterns that we had hanging all over the place..don''t ask) and votives for the tables. Of course checking out at Michaels when you are in a hurry (or anytime) is impossible..and of course I had 30 min to get down to the restaurant with the tacks/candles and then over to the rehearsal. So the line wasn''t moving AT ALL - price check on register 5 etc etc) and I just burst into tears. OMG. The women online must have thought I was out of my mind. Well I WAS! They asked me if I needed to go ahead..I couldn''t even speak (veklempt) but just nodded. When I was able to see that I was going to be on time..I calmed down and told them that I was going to be late for my rehearsal dinner..and I was getting married etc etc. They were very sympathetic and (I''m sure) happy to be rid of me (the lunatic).

ah well! the bridal meltdown is always an interesting experience...

here''s another pic (see my gorgeous MOH in the background). I''ll try to find one of my veil..it was cathedral length -caught some wind on the way to the altar and landed in the fountain. hee hee.
