Just wondering

This may sound like a stupid question. Why is it a tradition to wear the wedding band INSIDE the E-ring on the finger when we get married, but not the other way around? Also, am I crazy to think about the wedding band so early when the wedding planing has not even began yet?

I''ve heard the same thing about the wband being closer to your heart. I will note however, that I have seen many people wearing it the ''wrong'' way - with the ering on the finger first. You can do whatever you like!
