Kinetic Doug Menadue Pendant

Before the pandemic, I had a bench near where I was working trying to create this kooky idea I had for a kinetic topaz pendent. The stone was a gorgeous huge puffy Doug Menadue natural topaz purchased from a PSer. Since the pandemic started they have not answered their phone at all (Yes, for 2 years), and given that I was not going into work, I had no way to connect with them all this time. Until today, I never found myself in the city to stop in to the workshop. Finally today I went in and picked up my pendent. The bench was not able to do exactly what I had in mind, but it is close enough, and only ran me $50. My original idea was for the topaz to be able to spin all the way around in the outer bezel, but it only spins halfway around. Still I think it is fun and I will wear it.

I am not sure how one uploads a video -- believe it or not -- 35 years on the internet (yes the very very early internet) and I have never uploaded videos. I don't have a youtube acct or anything like that.

Also I wasn't really patient -- literally I had no way to get in touch with this shop. Apparently they were closed for a while, then they were robbed. The owner now keeps the door locked and doesn't let new people in. There was a sign on the door saying "not in", and google said they were closed, but I peeked in the window and saw him working in there and just kept knocking. Really, a shame because I went to 4 or 5 people and he was the only one willing to attempt it. Who will do my next kinetic project?
