... has now been ordered!

I tried it on in London, but as I''m moving to the US next month I was able to find it in the city where I''ll be living. I think this will be more convenient for fittings, etc. in any event.

I''m not quite sure about the sizing, as I''ve heard conflicting reports about Monique Lhuillier in terms of street size vs her size. They ordered the skirt in a size bigger than what I''m wearing in the pics (but I thought it fit fine and I''m hoping to lose a little weight or at least wear pantyhose!) and the top in 2 sizes bigger. I''ve seen some real-life brides in this dress, and to me the look was ruined because the top looked too baggy. So I may have some alterations in the future, but the dress will be in for beginning of May and the wedding''s not October - so there should be plenty of time to tinker with it!!

Now that that''s out of the way - on to the dress! I''m having a cathedral wedding in October 08. I really don''t like the veil they''ve put on me, as I feel it flattens the look. I''m hoping to either find one with more crown height, or something that would attach to the back of the head under some sort of poufy updo.

Anyhow - I hope you like it!!

Here''s a close up of the front view - I''ve also purchased the brooch that I''ve got hooked into the sash. I''ll probably tie the bow in back for the ceremony, and then bring it front for the reception.

The top''s a bit ... revealing at this size!

Here''s a side view with the flat veil. I''ll get a different veil - preferably one that doesn''t sit flat on top of my head!!

GORGEOUS.
I think the idea of switching the bow around is also a great idea!

WOW! That is stunning! I remember seeing that dress in a magazine and yearning and pining for it! haha! I adore the dress - fits your figure perrrrfectly!!!

Your dress is beautiful. I think the size looks perfect on you and hope that ordering it a couple sizes bigger doesn''t ruin that look. I do like veil but agree it is a little flat. You are going to be a beautiful bride! Congrads!

It''s a stunning dress! Congrats!

You look PERFECT in that dress! I love it on you! Congrats on finding the right one! I went up one size bigger than my measurements on the sizing chart when I ordered my gown too, because it really is easier to take something in than let it out. BTW, if you are living where I think you are living, I know that bridal shop! I was in there a ton of times! (I don''t know how comfortable you are sharing the metro area in which you live, so I''m not spilling just in case). Congrats again!

Wow - thanks everyone! This makes me feel I really made the right decision. My mom wasn''t 100% thrilled with the dress, just because it''s wholly unlike anything she''s seen at local weddings. I think once she sees me in it, totally happy, she''ll hopefully change her mind!

I looooove that dress on you! It looks like it was made for you!

Oh wow! You definitely made the right decision. Your dress looks just beautiful on you!

It is gorgeous and looks perfect for your body! It truly is a lovely dress.

Can I make an observation?Instead of tying it in the back, how about leaving it in front, but tie it on your right hip, that way when you are up at the alter facing your groom (On your right) you will still see the sash....just a thought!

Beautiful dress! I actually like the flatter look of the veil you have on in the pictures than something poufy as it might be too much pouf for one ensemble.

Hoooray Krissie, your dress is G O R G E O U S !! Congrats from another October bride

Oooh, that''s a great idea! I will have to play around with the sash when it comes in.

Thanks again, everyone! I do think this dress is flattering for my body type - I''m quite chesty but I have a small waist, and not many dresses that I tried really showcased that!

that dress looks perfect on you! i adore ML''s lace peices and was sooooo close to choosing one for my wedding!

It''s gorgeous, and perfect for a cathedral wedding! Congrats on finding the one!
