For friends and family we''re making special photo cds and dvds from the wedding.

My question is this. For the following labels how would you list the names?

CD Label:
From our Wedding
Mxxx & Jxxx
October 4, 2008

Label to seal CD envelope:
Mxxx & Jxxx
LastName

OR

Jxxx & Mxxxx
LastName

and Adddress Label:
Jxxx & Mxxxx lastname
address

Mxxx & Jxxxx lastname
address

---
I can see re-using the address labels for other things. All of these labels match. But it''s not vital. I like listing my DH''s name first nowadays instead of mine since the wedding is over but I know wedding etiquette had mine listed first.

I thought about doing mine first on the cd label and seal then his first on the address label... or does consistency look better?

Help!

I just realized my post was confusing. M is me and J is DH.

Anyone?

Not sure if this is helpful and I''m sure it goes against etiquette but when I write the names of a married couple I normally write them in the order that they sound best to me. For example, my parents names just flow better together with my father listed first and my mother second with our last name.

Dad and Mom Lastname

If I change my name though I think that my and FI''s names sound better with mine first and his second (which I suppose would be proper etiquette?)

Clairitek and Mr. Clairitek Lastname

To me, some couples first names and last name together just sound better one way than the other. Does this make any sense?

I like the idea of my DH''s name first on a mailing label. But since the cd is wedding related and all of our stuff from the wedding was me and DH (no last name) then it seemed to make more sense to do them that way. Maybe since it''s after the wedding I''ll just do his name first.

I do too! Ours sound better Him and Me Lastname. I actually thought that was proper etiquette?

John and Jane Smith
-as opposed to-
Jane and John Smith

In the way that it's "Mr. and Mrs. John Smith." Or maybe I'm confusing the two? When both first names are included maybe it's flipped?

I think that no matter what you decide your friends and family will just be excited to see a disc of your awesome STUNNING wedding photos!
