Hi I have an emerald shipping that I got for a pretty small amount at auction not knowing much about gemstones at all really, but can anyone please point me to somewhere that can help me gauge the ballpark of its value (whether it’s worth nickels or hundreds haha), as I know its been either slightly dyed or heated. Thanks and I’d love you to be brutally honest if necessary!

I took it with a grain of salt but the auction has it listed as:
Grade-A
CTW-93
Height-47mm
Width-22mm
Depth-10mm

Welcome! And I apologize in advance for what follows! You asked for honest feedback...

It's nearly opaque and looks more like a rock than a gem. Even then, it may be heavily treated. And at this price point, no one will bother with a reputable report and most of us would not by without one. So there is that Catch-22.

Tbh, at the "low end," there is really no way to assign value. In that respect, it is very much like the highest high end -- it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay. I would not pay "hundreds" for it. I would prefer a heavily-included unfacetable beryl mineral specimen to this -- but even those can be many thousands.

There are no bargains to be had on eBay or IG.

I think it’s unlikely that it is emerald. I bought one for my son many years ago, it looked like this. I think it was a fully dyed rock of some type. I paid $15.
