Latest coloured stone projects

So I’m off to the jewellers this week for my next two projects. I usually restrict myself to one per month but I’m playing catch up!

I’m finally getting my aquamarine set along with a pink sapphire which ended up being too deep for my earring cluster project.


The sapphire is SO hard to photograph, it looks much less dark and more vibrant in real life. Side cushions are from James Allen and are G/H .53 /.54 VS/VVS.


The traps for the aqua are from Ivy and Rose. I don’t have an aqua yet so it’s kind of a gap filler in the collection.



As you see from the layouts in keeping it simple with the setting. White gold for both. Nothing fancy. Want to keep the metal light and invisible as possible hopefully.

Some months I do zero, some I do a couple (depending on finances). I’m trying to focus on setting some of the loose stones I’ve squirrelled away. Fortunately, setting cost here is very reasonable. I can get a simple setting in 18k for USD 500 - 600, even with some pave.

Gorgeous rings! I know what you mean about the lighting issue - some stones like bright light and others like dim light. I guess they all have personalities based on color and cut. I have some that black out with too much light. It’s nice in a way to be able to choose which one to wear based on the situation.
