It’s so crazy that I happened to open this thread and find your post as I haven’t been here in several days, maybe longer. Just had a similar experience on PM. I sold a jacket for $700, it’s the Jealousy Moto Jacket from Free People. I disclosed that I wore it twice, I included clear pics, and noted that the piece is distressed. Anything over $500 has to go through PM authentication. It did, then it went on to the buyer, who turned around and said that it was clearly worn to death, had stitching coming apart, ink marks, and that I had PAINTED THE BUTTONS. Wtf?!
I priced it at what I paid bc posh takes 20%. I also disclosed it had been hanging in my closet for 2 years and only been worn out twice, and that the price was firm because I wasn’t really sure I wanted to sell it. I lost 50 lbs over the past 8 months, it’s way too big, and was oversized to begin with. She told posh that I shouldn’t be charging top dollar for a jacket I had clearly warn. I told posh to look up ANY description of any color of that jacket on any retailer selling them and she’d see they are intentionally distressed. I am so pissed off that someone would accuse me of painting the buttons—that’s what really got to me out of all of her remarks. Buyers remorse, much? I hope they just side with her and send it back to me. I’d rather keep it and start wearing it out of pure spite than let her have it now. Lol
Anyway, I wanted to commiserate with you! Scammers are out in full force these days. Someone else purchased one of my LV bags and now I’m thinking of cancelling the sale because she has no history on the site and I think it’s another scammer. I’m an ambassador now with a high rating and like 300+ successful sales from my own closet, I am not even a reseller. I’m close to shutting it down, like I really don’t need the hassle.
That is so weird that you've just had that experience. I am so sorry that happened, and I completely understand about wanting to cancel the LV bag purchase. To date I've had only good experiences with PM--they sided with me when someone wanted to return a pair of shoes because they did not fit, even though I posted measurements. Someone else wanted to return a NWT silk dress because the back zipper did not lie COMPLETELY flat, and they also refused to let her return it.
PS I love your Cavalier KC Spaniel photo--what a sweetie!
