I have been wanting to marry my boyfriend pretty much since the day I met him We have been together for almost four years now and we have finally started talking about weddings. Well I have always talked about weddings, but he has finally started to listen hehe. Last night I gave him pictures of my dream ring. He is the kind of person who can get overloaded so I basically gave him all the info I had in one shot and that was it! Don''t want to keep bugging him about it. Now I just have wait for the ring. I think it will still be at least a few months if not more! THis is going to be torture..............

Not to rain on your parade but I want you to have a realistic expectation. Don''t be surprised if you end up waiting a little longer than you originally anticipated. My FF told me last August/September that he wanted to look at rings before my birthday which was in November...and we did check out some stuff. My birthday came and went without any mention of a ring. Long story short. He became overwhelmed. I had to step in and help. We ordered the ring earlier this month.

My advice would be to focus on your relationship and just being happy.

Welcome to waiting!! If you ever read my posts then you know you are not alone here! I''m so happy for you and your BF! So what is your dream ring??\

It is a lot to take in at once, between how to choose a diamond, the setting and getting it appraised but its usually a fun wait. I was definately overwhelmed but I did my research so I could present my BF with all the right options. PS is great for finding any info you want all you have to do is type a keyword in the search and a wealth of info pops up! GL to both of you!

Isn''t it soo hard to not bug haha I spend my time on here so I don''t bug my boyfriend, but then I bug myself haha Currently we are in the process of ordering the setting I want but it still takes 2-3wks and then he has to go pick out the diamond so I will be waiting a whillllleeee too!

Thank you for all the welcoming words! Unfortunately, my wait will most likely be short and sweet

I have a feeling it will be towards the end fo the year. But that is ok. I feel very lucky to have my bf and that we are even both thinking that this is it for both of us. He makes me so happy

As far as my dream ring, hands down it is the tacori 2620 with a round stone in the center. Since I found it a few weeks ago, it is pretty much all I can think about! I am happy I found it and also a little nervous because now I don''t want t be dissapointed if he goes another direction. I always thought I would just give him a bunch of different ideas and he could pick, but when I tried that one on, I really felt it was perfect! Hopefully he will too

Be Careful! the longer you stay here and see all sorts of different rings , the more your tastes may change. I came a year ago convinced I wanted a bezel set Tiffany Lucida, but after seeing the August vintage cushions and James Meyer''s fine craftsmanship I now want something a little more custom. Your perception of what makes a good sized diamond may also change, because of the disproportionate number of large stones posted here. I also hope your BF is prepaired for the sticker shock (which can be considerable).
