I was ready to post a picture of all my gems as it would have covered every color…. Except pink
If only that ring DK is making me was finished

Now I'm super eager to see the finished piece!

I think a collection like that is like a time machine - each holds different memories. I don’t know much about Bruce Springsteen despite having lived in the US for over 4 years! I wonder what you think of this? He is not The Boss but he won!

i think grandma's ER is now old enough to almost be an antique - thay got married in 1937 but they had a long engagement due to the great depression
Actually we have been discussing that episode of American idol on my Springsteen forum (we are allowed to swear over there)
He's not as bad as i first thought, in fact he doesn't do too bad a job but he doesn't smoulder like Bruce,
Bruce has said that song is about paralising loneliness and this kid doesn't convay this, i mean forget the rather awsome 80's video and just listen to Bruce sing it
So i think it was a wasted opertunity- so many songs in the catalogue and they pick ones they actually play on the radio (ok im biased because i hate all those idol- got talent shows because its so manufactured)
this is my favourite Bruce cover - of course Patti Griffin is a professional musician
Im not really a grunpy old lady i just grew up in an era where bands and singers, musicians, basically as starving artists paid their due by working bars, by playing live night after night they honed their craft and won an audience and some got lucky and got discovered through hard work and being in the tight place at the right time like Bruce, not this plastic cookie cutter model designed to make Simon Cowell and associates money
Now Clive Davis - he knows tallent -there is a great doco on netflex about him
He would run rings around Simon Cowell's 'contribution' to popular culture

Any way if i could sing i would sing these kinds of Springsteen songs
incidentally paralyzing loneliness is kind of a theme

Btw US tour dates will be announced any day now - if he comes near you go see him - he is the king of live performances - even my sister enjoyed him

It was only a matter of time before Bruce Springsteen got a look into this thread
He does wear a lot of jewlery for a man
He has some nice tourquise pieces - alas not in pink

I have a lot of respect for this lady because she has played my home town i think twice
The first time because she had noticed not many people tour there
(Well we have a big covered stadium nowdays and Elton John loves it)

Oh that is so unique, @Daisys and Diamonds! It's sort of like a medallion type design, which I love. Champagne diamonds have a very particular sparkle to them... almost like they're candle lit.

I wanted to wear them like epaulites on a white shirt
Im not a good internet shopper
Aa they (just like their peridot) are a little too small

You can see how the little chain gets caught up - it takes ages to untangle

It was well worth the effort and wait to finally find it
its so wisteria like
its late Autumn here now
Last spring i forgot the wisteria
it runs among the length of the garage but you only see it from the neighbours
