That's the kind of colour shift I like: both extreme colours are beautiful. The aqua in this pic is exceptionally nice for a sapphire.

Thank you so much! It actually shifts more intensely teal (seen with my lavender spinel) and to a more gray-blue (seen with my dark,dark blue spinel) too. I love every color it does.

its a kid's party staple
it has to be the thinnest white sandwhich bread you can find and the crusts should be cut off and generously spread with real butter
we call these rainbow sprinkles 100's & 1000's
i have never tried the chocolate (that's a premium quality brand) and i never liked the biscuits

Childhood favourite. I love the name - 100s and 1000s - it appealed to my imagination as a child. I confess i bought some just to sprinkle on stuff because they are so pretty.

I can contribute to orange! My spessartite garnet from mastercut gems with side tsavorite and demantoid leaves . It makes me smile to wear it.

My new milk and honey chrysoberyl cat’s eye isn’t intense orange but I think it can fit in the orange category. I have put it next to my jadeite below to show that it is not green but more honey.

something i can tell you is purple is heavy
briefly inbetween hardwear store jobs i once worked in a fabric store

you could guarantee if it came in on a roll it had to go onto a card and if it came in on a card it would need to be rolled onto a roll
this was 18 years ago

we sold a lot of polar fleece
purple dye is evidently very heavy
