What a little angel....hope you both got some sleep, and hooray for no more fever and migraine!!!!
 
I just talked to Nan and Angello is sleeping right now. He still has a fever and it''s going a little slow for Nan. I asked her what they are saying about him coming home and nothing has been mentioned yet. The surgeon wasn''t there yet to speak to her so she doesn''t know what he is thinking. She is leaving to go home this afternoon and have dinner with the kids. So it''s good just slow.

Progress is good slow or not.
Its to be expected to be slow at times then other times it will be really fast.
Im praying for a fast healing stretch to kick in real soon.
 
How could the staff be so careless as to allow the feeding tube to get infected? I would read those people the riot act, at the very least.

More prayers for a quick recovery.
 
Nan still keeping you and Angello in my prayers and wishing him a speedy recovery! Hope you can get some rest during all this.

I just talked to Nan, it's been a bit of a rough road today. I'll know more in the AM, but please keep the prayers coming, we are in the home stretch here and could use some extra help. You guys have been amazing and it's really nice to see such strong support, so thanks. I'll give you a more detatailed update tomorrow. Good night!!!!

I hope both of them are able to get some sleep tonight. Hopefully they will be able to return home soon.

Medical Update

They finished rounds this morning and this is the latest plan.
His xray shows fluid on his lungs so they are going to up his lasix meds to get the fluid off.
they are going to slowly start his feeds again later today in his feeding tube. They had turned if off for 24 hours to let his stomach relax.
they are going to do an echo this morning to check about the fluid.
He is on Motrin now around the clock. (Mommy had them stop those crazy oxycodone drugs- the narcotics were making him loopy)

so his numbers look good - his oxygen levels, heart rate and blood pressure look good.
They are treating him with antibiotics for infection too.

He seems better today. He''s getting back to his awnry self I''m happy to say.

Thanks for all the well-wishes and prayers.
I was hoping to be home by today but I''ll need some more patience. I don''t think we''ll be home before Monday.

thanks for the update nan. i know you were wanting to get home, but hopefully it will be soon. it''s sounds like he''s getting better, so hang in there!

What a rough road for the both of you. Glad to see all the numbers are good and he is healing well in general (despite a couple of bumps...) Hang in there. He''ll be up and running around before you know it. Sometimes anwry is the most welcome thing!

will be home soon. I know it''s hard to watch him go through this, but thank God it''s the last operation and you are in the home stretch. Just know you, Angello and your family are in the thoughts and prayers of many people and we know he will be up and about running around like a wild man in no time

I am praying that his leakage stops so you guys can get out of there. I know he''s going to come home soon, fingers and toes crossed. Give him lots of kissess and hugs for me. I''ll see him soon.

Nan, what tough fightesr you all are.....HANG IN THERE!!!!! Hoping that fluid will hurry up and dissipate and you can go HOME soon!!!
 
Nan, hang in there. It will all be behind you guys soon. Take care of yourself during this period. I know it''s very stressful, so make sure to take care of yourself. You don''t want to get sick at a time like this. Try to get some rest okay?

UPDATE: Angello is going back to the ICU. He wasn't getting the proper care and is now paying that price. There was a bunch of miscommunication going on and now he will get the proper care he so desperately needs. He will be fine, but it's a step backwards, but am confident that he will get better care. More later.

thanks for the update. i know it may seem like a set back, but it will be better for angello. the nurse/patient ratio in the icu will allow them to keep an eye on what''s going on and hopefully keep anything untoward from happening in the future.
he will continue to be in my prayers.
 
belle, that is excatly what I told Nan. He needs 24/7 care for everything and that so wasn''t happening where he was. So while it may seem like a set back to her now, it really is a good thing for the little guy. Let''s hope that once all these issues are addressed he will make steady progress and be in a much better position. I saw the ICU and it was awesome. They are great people and Angello is a bit of a celebrity there and so is Nan. When we were walking down to have lunch she was stopped by everyone who knew her.

Positive thoughts and well wishes continuing...hope Angello pulls through quickly so he can go home and play!!!! And then mom can relax a little bit!
 
Yup, she has a day at the spa waiting for her when she''s ready!!!! Head to toe pampering!!!!!
