How can he shine so, when he has been through such hell? He really is incredible. I am so glad he has you with him...and I know your other children also need you. Hang in there, Nan.
Just a note to say I check in frequently, was sorry to hear of the setback, glad to see Angelo''s smiling face, and wishiing you and your family well....
He''s so beautiful, Nan. He just lights up from within... even with everything he''s going through. He''s got such a strong and bright spirit - and as the priest who baptised him indicated - the angels are watching over him. Everything''s going to be ok...
I just talked to Nan, they had a good night. Angello is doing well except his oxygen level is very low. He is on a high amount of oxygen, but his numbers are still too low. Otherwise he is happy and is playing with his toys. Nan had a good night sleep too, thank god!!!
I pray that all goes well for Angello this week and that Thursday will go smoothly for him and that he can go home soon!!!!! Big hugs to Nan and Angello, we are in the home stretch here!!!!!
Hope A''s oxygen levels can be straightened out quickly - and without more trauma to Angello!
Sevens Clan - we''re all thinking about you - praying for you.
Well, as the song goes, "I'm not Lisa"...but I believe that on Thursday Angello is having another cardiac catheterization in order to allow the doctors to do strange things to his arteries so that his blood oxygen level increases. If this is too technical for you to follow, I will let Lisa explain it for the lay reader when she is here again.
Yup, Deb is correct, Angello is getting another cardiac catheterization on Thursday. They will go in and place stents in his arteries that are not as open as they should be. This will allow much more oxygen to flow through his blood. After this cath procedure his oxygen levels should be much higher, and then he won''t have to be on any supplemental oxygen. I hope that makes sense to you guys, I''m no doc, that''s for sure. But that''s the jist of it. Also Angello after his cath, will go to ICU just for a bit and then will go back to his room. It all happens on the same day.
What a trouper that little Angello is! He has been through so much at such a young age. Nan, I hope you get him back home with your family soon. Sending my thoughts & prayers your way.
I had a great visit from Logan Sapphire yesterday. She brought some delicious food.
Angello is such a good boy. He would really love to get out of that room for awhile but that would require lugging the oxygen tank, the monitor and the vac machine.
If he gets off that vac dressing before the Cath I''m going to take him around in one of the special "red wagons." He''d love it.
They did just take him down for a chest xray- he''ll enjoy that trip.
Weekend was pretty quiet. They are working on his feeding schedule and weaning him off of some of the meds.
Oh he is just such a cutie pie! He likes diamonds and understands that a Bloomingdale''s bag can be useful for many different things!! Nan, I pray that all goes well this week with Angello and you can finally get him home. We''re all thinking about you and sending healing vibes to that little angel.
