sweet precious face! prayers your way Nan.

I FINALLY had a chance to read through this ENTIRE thread (all 32 pages of it - what an incredible testament to the wonderful community that PS is!) I apologize I''m arriving so late on this, I was away from PS for a few weeks, then I''ve been out of town, etc... and I wanted to save this for my 100% attention, and boy was it worth my time! This entire saga is absolutely amazing proof to me that there is a God! Angello is an amazing little trooper... his eyes just win me over in a heartbeat! (pun intended) Nan- I aspire to be a mother as strong you!!!!

Angello will be in my prayers for his procedure on Thursday!!!

flopkins, you read all 33 pages, now that is a testiment to the kind of great support we have in this great community of PS!!!! Thanks for joining in we need lots of support for Thursday!!!

Big hugs and prayers for the big day Thursday.....what an amazing and strong little boy!!! (With an equally strong and amazing mommy!!!!) PS LOVES ANGELO!!!!!

(Lisa, how can you see the screen with all of that new bling flashing off of your right hand?

Oh, Nan...he is so precious. Just look at that smile after such a long time in the hospital!!

If it were me, I''m not sure I''d know what a smile is anymore. He''s got amazing strength of spirit - something that will serve him well into his ripe old age. Thursday is another hurdle to clear but Angello will pull through perfectly. Prayers and hugs continue.

Angello enjoyed the bag.
LMAO - so typical of kids!

Wonderful gifts and they prefer the bag or box!!!! My kids could play with boxes, bags, and plastic cups for HOURS when they were little.

Prayers continue for this little guy.

Every time there is a new picture of Angello on the thread it just makes me smile and laugh out loud. I so look forward to seeing his sweet grin and patient, playful eyes. He truly is a wonder to behold.

I hope things go well this week and he can get out of there soon and go play in some dirt or something!!!! I''m sure he''s tiring of that sterile hospital environment, though he doesn''t ever seem to show it. Tough little guy, and tough little mommy.

Positive thoughts going your way!!

Are you ready for THIS???

Apparently when the cat''s away.........

The surgeon has been out of the country for two weeks - Well he''s back in town now!

He is not "on board" with this Cath deicison for Thursday.
All this time I was told that the "cardiovascular team" was behind this decision. HA- Not the surgeon.

He is going to meet and talk with the cath dr and decide what is best. This cath comes with great risks that might not be worth it right now.

So, we''ll see what these great minds decide with the little man. Unbelievable. (that''s what comes to my mind)

They did take Angello''s vac dressing off today. He just has regular guaze on it now. Hopefully he will be able to take a spin around in the red wagon. I''ll be sure to catch a photo of him.

thanks

Unreal. Just unreal. Yet it may be a blessing that the surgeon arrived to say this so as not to put Angello through something risky if there is an alternative. We are all thinking of you and praying for you, Nan. For all of your family.

Hugs,
Deb

it''s good to know that there is more than one person here making the decisions about what''s best for the little man. i will be looking forward to the outcome. hang in there!

we''ll be waiting for the wagon pics!

Well...if there is a reasonable, educated voice of dissent (the surgeon no less)...then better he come back and speak up now rather than afterwards. **hugs**

Nan, youse guys is so special. You want we should break their legs for trying this without the doc''s okay?

Sorry, couldn''t resist. My DH is such a bad influence.

I am grateful that the surgeon returned in time to rethink this whole procedure. Prayers continue daily. That pic of Angello with the bag was so precious. What a beautiful baby he is. (in spirit and body)

Shay

OMG. What a sweetie. I mean, to have all that going on with him, and then to see him experiencing pure joy with a paper bag...just brings tears to my eyes. What a special guy...

I just talked to Nan and boy am I furious!!! I want her to take him home. It''s enough!!! I believe they don''t have the answers right now and he can certainly wait another 6 months before he goes for the cath if indeed he does need it down the road. I told her to take that baby and scram!!!

I finally saw the photo with the bag, and can I just tell you I started crying? Nan, your little boy is such an angel!!! To be smiling with everything he''s going through...you are blessed with an amazing child (actually, amazing children). Oh, Nan. I am so sorry to hear that there is so much indecision going on right now, that you don''t know when Angello will be coming home. I really hope you are able to get him out in one of the wagons.

Are you sleeping at all? I hope so....

xoxo

My heart is breaking for your entire family Nan. I am so sorry for everything that is happening. My prayers continue for you and for Angello. If ever there is anything I can do please just ask.

Her husband wants him to come home also. Right now Nan can manage everything at home. The vac dressing is gone now, so he would just go home on oxygen, which he has done before. I hope he goes home and can really rest and get stronger in case he does need the cath procedure down the road. But to me, they just don''t have everything figured out enough for me to say yeah go ahead and do it. I was there when the doc told Nan that Angello would need it and now this????

Oh, Nan. My heart breaks. Thank goodness the surgeon "resurfaced" and is at least questioning what should be done. I''m not exactly sure where you are. Any chance of taking a road trip to Boston for a second opinion at Children''s Hospital...?

Prayers continue for your whole family ...and big hugs and internet kisses for sweet Angello.

praying for wisdom for the doctors.
praying for healing for Angello
praying for comfort for his mom and love ones.

So sorry to hear about the differences of opinion on treatment--thank goodness the surgeon got back in time! It sounds like a second opinion might be a good idea at this point?

The photo of Angello with the bag brought tears to my eyes as well. What a sweet, courageous little boy to be smiling in spite of all he''s been through! He''s truly a blessing.

I''ll be keeping all of you in my prayers.

I''m sorry to hear about the differences of opinions too, but look at it this way. At least they were able to figure it out before they actually went ahead and did it. That would''ve been scary.

Is it possible to do the cath later when Angello is more healthy and strong?

I enjoy seeing those pics of him so much. Nan, please do keep them coming. He is such a sweetheart.

Here's a fun pic from when Logan Sapphire visited with her bag of goodies.

Angello enjoyed the bag.

I had to move this to the next page because I had to go looking for it and I didn't want anyone to miss it!!!

Deb :-)

Darn! The photo didn't move here with the quotation!

Well after three long surgeries today the surgeon finally weighed in on all this insanity:

and the decision is:::::::::::::::::;;

He'' COMING HOME TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

can you believe it? I can''t. I''m thrilled but taking it with a grain of salt (just in case............)

He told my husband: "I make the final decision here. Angello''s incision is not healed well enough, and the risk of infection is too high"

wooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
