This thread has provided the most unbelievable amount of comfort and support.
Logging on everyday to these wonderful thoughts and prayers was just so amazing for this weary mom.

Angello''s journey seems to have come to an end but it really is the beginning. When I was leaving the hospital today I was remembering when we first arrived in July 2003 and how I never thought we would get this far.

Back then it was just to get through the surgeries; get him through the three and then everything will be just fine.
But honestly I don''t know what is ahead for Angello. These procedures are so tricky; nothing is black and white.
He may still need a heart transplant or pace maker down the line.

Going into this surgery I thought he would be in the hospital for maybe two weeks tops. Well with seven weeks behind us
I can say: you really just never know.

Having him home now is wonderful but still very scary. He''s still a sick little boy; his oxygen is very low.
With time I hope to see him improve. He''s so happy to be home.

......and that''s really all that matters.

Oh, Nan...you truly have to take it one day at a time! It is forced on you! Today he is home...and he looks GREAT! Let us hope (and pray) that all will work out with one method of treatment or another and that he grows up healthy and strong!

Much love,
Deb

I just have to believe that being home, surrounded by his loving family is GOOD FOR HIM...and that he'll mend and get stronger and stronger everyday.

I think of Angello everyday...and will continue to.

We are a bit sad for not being there. This thread had a whole Romanian clan sending good wishes and rooting for you.

prayers for angello will continue.
Please Nan keep us updated on any develpments.
Your little fighter has touched a lot of hearts around the world and we are pulling and praying for him.

btw its time for him to start looking for a frog so he can tell you how fine he is.

It''s great to see Angello at home and happy. I hope and pray for all good things for him.

Welcome home Angelo! I do think that being home will help him tremendously. I understand your worries and fears but the simple truth is that none of us truly know what will happen to any of us from day to day. We just have to try and stay positive, focused and grateful for each and every day we have.

He''s young . . . and doesn''t know enough to worry about himself. He just knows to smile and be happy - that is probably good medicine in and of itself. Surrounded by family and love I am sure he will grow stronger everyday.

You have been a trooper - for all of us with children - we try to imagine ourselves in your shoes. It is overwhelming to think of and you have done it with such grace. Hats off to you lady - you really are special!

Although I haven''t been posting lately, I wanted to say I have been checking in on Angello''s progress regularly and I am so happy to hear he is home with his family.

I am sure he will continue to heal and thrive surrounded by his loved ones and Nan, I hope that you also get lots more rest now that you have your sweet baby back in the fold.

Congrats on your great news,

Heather

He looks so happy to be home!

I know that Angello is still sick, but for now it''s so nice to see him at home!

One day at a time.

I am so happy to see Angello home with his loving family. He seems to handle things so well and can still smile and be playful after all he has been through. He is amazing.
I hope there will be great improvement once he is home and away form the depressing hopsital conditons.
Best of luck and I hope all goes well for you from now on.

I am so happy for you and your family! I bet it will do Angello a world of good to be home!
