List of reputable jade sellers?

I’ve become fascinated by jade lately and have spent much time these holidays sifting through many of the jade related threads. I’ve looked at sellers’ websites plus many items on eBay and Etsy. It’s very difficult to get a sense of pricing and “value”, particularly if some of the information is in Chinese. Is there a list anywhere of vendors?

If you read the second page of this thread there is a lot of info on how some of us buy our jade.

I am not sure the sellers we use would qualify as reputable on PS but to me they are reputable and for the price I paid I am more than happy with the risk I took.

Ok I’m not confident I can explain well but will try. Essentially the jade should have nice polish and translucency? When jadeite has good water or 水头 it can literally look watery... Like this Or this Vs this which looks drier... Ok now go back up and see the 3 posted bangles. Can you...

Specific Gravity of Grade B Jadeite

Whilst we are on a red detour, =)2 I would appreciate your thoughts on this 8ct red spinel. It's in an old estate ring and the cut is definitely not precise, but it's a decent colour, and 8ct red spinels don't come along very often. It will likely cost more than a similar sized rubellite, but...

@Snowdrop13 all the tips from jadeite experts has been really helpful. I have been watching the live shows even though I don’t understand anything. Just to get a feel for the colors, sizes I would like for things like donuts, carvings, animals, etc

I watched something on FB earlier, it was very useful just to see what’s out there. Looking at lots of different pieces on Etsy and other sites is giving me a better idea of colours and textures too. It’s a complicated thing, though, jade!

Yes, I am new to jade also. The market where I am is very limited. I wish I could see them in person. My dream is to go to a jewelry fair in Asia and be dazzled by everything. Lol

Just updating- I decided to buy a jade bangle from Jasmine Jadeite on FB. She has a couple of different pages, one with bangles under $500 and another for more expensive ones. Mine was around $400 and seems reasonable value for the price. I’m a total novice but it looks and feels like it’s reasonable quality. As a first experiment and foray into the world of jade, I’m very happy. The vendor was easy to deal with, was very responsive and sent extra photos and a video without being asked. Shipping was very fast (DHL) and free. She also takes PayPal, which added a level of comfort for an overseas buyer. Her bangle sizing advice was spot on, too!
