Are you planning to or have you used one for your wedding topper?

I really want the "The Happiest Day" topper. It''s a bit pricy so I''m shopping around. There are a couple of other designs I like as well but FI likes "The Happiest Day" best. I would definitely hold on to it as a family heirloom in the making so I need to pick the one we both really love.

Any ideas on where to find Lladro at a discount? I check Ebay daily =) Thanks!

Hey! We had our holiday party at Lladro in Beverly Hills! Let me see if the girl who connected us has any other connection there.

hehe i'm so not into lladro...my mom gave us the wedding couple one as our anniversary gift and i put it in the back of our cabinet downstairs, but still 'on display'...hehee. my mom is always pointing out that its in the BACK of the cabinet. i am like hey at least it's out and not in a drawer somewhere!!

I was looking into getting one, but since I certainly do not collect porcelain i dont want people to think "oh she loves lladro"and buy me more pieces. Thats the last thing I need. But I agree The happiest day is one of my faves!

I love them but they are so expensive.

This is the one I really wanted until I saw the $300 price...and then I found my cake topper which I adore.

Thanks, selflove, that would be awesome!

They are expensive but I found this website www.royalpottery.com . While I don''t collect the pieces I wouldn''t mind getting one for our cake topper. The mother and child ones are lovely, too. The Happiest Day''s dimension might be way too big for the top layer of a cake anyway, (10.5" x 6.5"). I''ll just keep on looking =) Thanks!

No can do. Turns out, we hosted our party there and we couldn''t even get discounts! But my friend did say that when she travelled to Spain over xmas (where Lladro is based), she bought a figure there for less than it would have been in the States. Got any friends in Spain? Plan to travel there? How much time do you have? If you''re in LA, maybe scour some of antique stores (I dunno if they have been around long enough to be antique?) or maybe the flea market at the Rose Bowl? There might be some dealers with whom you could network...

You love it, you will treasure it always and it will become a family heirloom... worth it to me!
