Alright, I am DLing the pics from the camera.

GAH! all the ring pics came out horrible. we own the worst camera in the world.

I got one that looks like anythign other then a blurr on my finger =(

I look like i have giant fingers LOL

To give some perspective i wear a 4.0 ring and the stone is 1.1 carats

Its Beautiful!!!! Congratulations!

Oooooh, it looks gorgeous!!! Is it a cartier-type setting?

I had my setting done custom by Danhov. It looks alot like a Vera wang setting I have seen. Ill have to look at the Cartier one to see if it looks like it.

I need a way to take better pics. It appears my camera has an issue with close ups. maybe if i adjust the zoom. Ill have the fiance help when we get home tonight. Though new pics probably wont come until tommorow since we wont be home til late and it may not be nice out.

Fortunately, I live in So Cal. So the chances of a sunny day are pretty likely =)

1) macro function
2) do not take the picture with the camera too close to the ring
3) crop & zoom after the picture is taken on a photo editor.

wow-its beautiful! I''d love to see more pics!

It looks beautiful! I can''t wait to see more pictures. It looks like a very spready 1.1, and gorgeous on your finger... perfect finger-to-stone ratio, if you ask me

good luck with the pictures! Esp. with asschers, it''s so tricky!

Musey,

Your asscher pic looks great, how did you get it? how many megapixels is your camera?

I think that might be my issue. we have the oldest digital camera in the world. It is because we never take any pictures LOL. I think its something like a 2.1 megapixel =)

The megapixels shouldn''t really be much of an issue for this kind of picture. Are you using a macro setting? THAT is the thing that will impact your pictures.

Yea I gotta check all that out. Someone above mentioned that too. Hopefully ill get some new pics out by this weekend =)

Oh beautiful ring! You need to start on show me the ring forum so all the members can drool! Congrats on your engagement!

Well at least I can tell it''s a beautiful asscher on a blingy band!!!

I used myu Canon Powershot SD800, it has (I believe) 7.1mp. It has image stabilization too which helps a lot for jewelry pics.

But I agree with the other posters, this is a macro mode issue, if you try that it should give you much better pics :)

Through the cloudyness...I can still see how beautiful the ring is! COngrats!

ETA: I love pave setting, & are those little heart prongs?
They are so adorable! I thought that heart prongs only go perfectly with RBs.....but now you proved me wrong! Stunning!

your ring is gorgeous!!!
