LOGR & ETSY questions

I''ve got my eye on a few LOGR settings, but I''m afraid to take the plunge because I don''t really have a jeweler and wouldn''t know who to take the setting and stone to to have it set. I''m in Oklahoma and do go to Dallas about once a month and could take them there, but any suggestions or vendors here that would do this, would be much appreciated.

Also does anyone have experience with LOGR bezel settings. I''m going to contact him about having a bezel setting (no diamonds) made, does have a LOGR that is just a bezel setting and no sets?

I love the ETSY jewelry I am seeing around here, and would like to take the plunge with a stone that is set in a silver bezel settings. I''ve seen the JKT work and it''s wonderful but not sure about the time issues, could anyone point me to a few ETSY designers to go to. I would probably want to stay in the argentum silver but am open to all ideas.

I find a clean even bezel is one of the most difficult things a jeweler can do, and the skill level should be high. There''s not many people I would trust to do a consistenty even bezel, but of all the pieces I''ve looked at on Pricescope, I would have to say James Meyer does consistently good bezel work.

I see that you come to Dallas every so often. I have a wonderful jeweler in Plano off of Coit and Park, JB Jewelers. I love Aldemar and I think he does lovely work, and he has perfected those claw prongs as well as I think anyone who''s not Leon can, IMO.

Here is an example of Julia and Aldemar''s bezel work side by side. The cost for both rings was nearly identical (JKT a hair higher), but Julia''s is 18k yellow gold and Aldemar''s 14k white gold. The round dark area in the scapolite on the right is just some water trapped in the sunken seat after a cleaning.
