TL, I have purchased 6 rings from LOGR so far, and I used ''Best Offer'' for all of them. My offers ranged from 20% to 30% off the bin price. The only thing is that I customized all of them with upgrades on the diamonds and gold, so I always included the additional charges as a contingency with my offers. I''m guessing that the additional cost of customization helps recoup some of the loss.
For instance, if a ring is listed at $400, I''d offer $300 but with $200 worth of ugrades and labor fees. Even though it''s the same ring design, technically, it''s not the same ring because of the upgraded quality in gold/diamonds and modified head size/color.
I haven''t purchased a ring as is with ''Best Offer'' option yet, so I can''t tell you my experience. But with customized/upgraded purchases, they have been very accomodating.
TL, can you post a link of the ring? If you''re making tons of upgrades, I don''t see why he won''t budge.Date: 4/2/2010 11:46:13 AM

PR,
He won''t budge on this ring even though I want to upgrade the gold and diamonds and do two tone and resize!! I''ve just about upgraded it to the tilt, and on top of that, I offered to buy it off ebay to save him ebay fees!!

No PDF catalogue here
I''ve never tried a BIN on a complete ring but didn''t somebody buy a ruby ring from them? If I recall they did a BIN on that? I may be remembering incorrectly however.

It''s strange because he just sent me a pdf catalog of all his items, and he said in it, if you buy off ebay, he can provide a better price. I think this is a mass email to all his clients, many of which are PS''ers I''m sure. However, no response on my inquiry as to why he won''t budge on the price of this particular setting.
Did anyone else get the pdf catalog?
PR,
I would love to post the link here, but I want it to be a surprise.

Sometimes I just ask whats the lowest they''ll accept, then I know if I want to go for it or not.

I did that Arcadian. In fact I rarely bid, I always buy off ebay in the hopes it will save him fees and I''ll get a better price. Still, he won''t budge on the BIN price. I might just make an offer on the BIN and see what happens.

wow..maybe they''re not budging on it because the profit margins are a lot slimmer based on raw material costs.
I know you don''t wanna tell what it is, but considering I know your taste pretty well, its no doubt spectacular.

Appraisals will always tend towards the over-inflated, so take that for what it''s worth.Date: 4/20/2010 7:12:47 AM

Hi Does anyone have any experience of buying from LOGR and having their ring appraised at a higher value than they originally paid? I have purchased an eternity/wedding band with 1.88 carats of diamonds Baguette and Round cut in 14k white gold for a bid of $560 and think i have a good deal, although it hasn''t arrived yet. I live in the UK and will be having it appraised soon.
