Long time lurker

So I''ve finally decided to come out of hiding and introduce myself as an official lady in waiting. My boyfriend and I have been together for a little over 3 years and we have known pretty much from the beginning that we want to get married and spend the rest of our lives together. He is my best friend and I can''t even begin to imagine my life without him. We''ve been seriously discussing getting engaged/married since June of this year, and I have been (not so) patiently waiting since them. I am so excited for it all to happen that it''s pretty much all I think about now. He told me in July that we would definitely be engaged by the end of this year, which seems so close and still so far away. He is graduating in December and was just offered a full time job with a company he really likes, so it seems that all systems are go! Hopefully it will be any day now!

We looked at rings online for a while so he got an idea of what I like. In July he sent me to a jewelry store with my mom to look at one of the rings I fell in love with. I ended up hating it in person and I was really disappointed. Apparently, my boyfriend had already been to the store to look at the ring and he didn't like it either. So he found one he loved and ended up putting a deposit down on it, in hopes that I would like it too. When the jeweler showed me the ring my bf chose, I just thought he was showing me a ring he thought I would like! I absolutely loved it and I was shocked at how well the jeweler knew my taste (ha!). As we left the store, I called my bf and told him how the jeweler showed me a ring I loved and it was so much prettier than the original. He couldn't help but laugh and told me that the ring the jeweler showed me was actually the one he picked out for me and wanted me to see. He has great taste! So this was about 4 months ago and I can't wait for him to propose with this gorgeous ring!

Oh and about the ring...It's a Martin Flyer platinum ring with 16 bead set diamonds. The center stone will be a round brilliant, but I don't know anything about the size or any specifications of the diamond he chose.
