Lookin for a spinel

I was originally looking for a loose sapphire, but sup PS''s sparked my interest in spinels. They are sooo pretty. Can anyone give me some references on where to buy a good quality spinel from? Im looking for the 1.5 to 2ct range with a price range of $400. I like blue''s, and pinks. PLease send pictures if possible. I like emerald, oval''s, or cushions. Im wanting to place it in a white gold band, with diamonds down the side.

For $400 and aiming for 1.5 to 2 cts, the spinel isn't going to have great colour, especially in pinks and blues. Something has got to give, either size, budget, or colour. Here's a few places to try:

Hello, I know i have seen a ton of interest growing in spinels recently. I know you can find something reasonable, in hte price you are looking for just don''t give up hope. I know I cut several spinels, they cut beautiful stone. Check around! I know Freke is still holding out hope, and I will keep my eye out for you.

John has some very pretty spinels on his site Leah - I know as I want a couple of them, lol !
As I am currently searching for a similiar thing though (blue or violet spinel), as is Freke, I have to say be prepared to wait - they're not as easy to find as I thought !
