Looking at 2+ carat OEC/Transitional to replace lost e-ring

Congratulations! You’ve chosen a really gorgeous stone! And I don’t think it’s flaky at all - buying a diamond for your engagement ring, whether it’s first time or upgrade is a big and emotional decision both for the cash spent and the symbolic value of it. Add to that you’re buying an old cut which just isn’t as predictable as a MRB despite being a precursor of it and it takes a bit of dithering to work it out.
Please feel free to include us in your setting deliberations and post a few (dozen) more pics of your lovely new stone.
Just a thought, will you get it set in a temp cheap setting so you can wear it and get to know it better before putting it in its final home?

That's the plan. It'll probably take me awhile to decide what dream setting I want to put her in, and you bet I want to wear her around the house while changing diapers and bouncing sleepless baby all through the night. Spit up covered PJ and diamond ring is gonna be my new look! :mrgreen2:

LOVE that stone! Congrats!

I was rooting for the 2.88 and am so glad you got that one! Can't wait to see how you will set this!

The photos you posted really don't do either of the diamonds justice but you made a great choice!
I understand size always plays a significant roll. Congratulations on a beautiful OEC, they are so mesmerizing!
