I wonder if anyone has seen any diamond earrings that are the leverback type or with a locking wire. You know the kind that hangs down. I also would love for the stone to actually swing. I don''t know if I''m making sense. I envision a princess stone in it''s mounting that would slip on the wire and actually move around.

I''m sure someone can make it. Wonder if Whiteflash could convert their princess studs into this type of earring with minimal cost? Just diamond day dreaming......

I LOVE these earrings, and I''ve wanted to do something like the purple one, only with diamonds!

..........or this is a nice style, too.....could be 4-prong basket set diamonds hanging instead of the pearls.

........actually, I KNEW I''d seen these: diamond pear dangle earrings that were made for Bagpuss a while back......LOVELY.

What size are those beauties?!

I really have a square, princess cut in mind and may just pursue it after seeing these. Thanks for your help

Here are the specs.

1-.38 I SI1 GIA cert Good, Very Good, Faint 5.53 x 4.12 x 2.78
2-.39 I SI1 GIA cert Good, Good, Faint 5.75 x 4.23 x 2.73

They are very pretty and feminine, quite noticeable due to being dangles (I have a bob hairstyle and some earrings can kinda disappear) and they sparkle a lot because they move a lot.

They''re comfortable to wear and feel very safe in the ear. I''ve even slept in mine.

I think that they''d look just as nice with princess cuts too.

I have some tiny old ones that were my mom''s studs..not the greatest stones...had them set like the purple ones, and the movement really makes them sparkle....bigger and better ones would be great set that way!!i

I have amethyst gemstones set this way too but noticed that the stones do not face forward like on the mannequin. The stones tend to tilt a little to the outside due to the nature of our ears. Don't know if that will bother you. It bothered me for the longest time since I could not see the stones properly in the mirror when worn. However, it is one of the most comfortable set of earrings I have worn.

I've also seen another type where the gemstone can be slipped out of the leverback. This will allow the wearer to switch out the stones so that you'll only have one set of leverbacks but can change the look with multiple gemstones. I'll have to find the website to illustrate what I mean.

Added:
Interchangeable leverbacks.

They look huge on your ears, at least half carat each

I guess when you have a great cut, like they say, then thay always look bigger.

Chrono,
Thanks for the warning about how they would dangle due to how each of our ears are different. You''ve given me something to ponder. Would love to see pics of yours if you get a chance.

Honest! I think that pears can look bigger than they really are - probably an optical illusion

But hey, I''m not complaining.

I agree that dangles can face to the side a bit, but it''s never bothered me. People rarely look at you only face on - you''re always moving your head around, so the earrings get seen from other angles anyway.

Just happened to be looking throught the Stuller catalog for something else, and they have lots of leverback mountings in which to set stones.......
