Looking for help finding a green tourmaline.

Hallo all. :)

I'm looking to buy a green tourmaline, cushion shaped, somewhere in the 8 x 10 range or above, altho 'close but slightly under' would be ok too.

I want eye clean, very green, and cushion cut - big facets, rounded corners, only slightly elongated (not long and skinny, but not square either).

Color is everything. Layaway is a bonus. Not from Sri Lanka pls!

This is what I'm looking for, but eye clean and, obviously, smaller, since this one is over 10mm deep:

I checked out Finewater Gems, Jeff White, Gemfix, and Precision Gem but found nothing listed close to what you're looking for...

Have you checked out Pearlman's Jewelers?

I did a search for Tourmaline Cushion, and checked "Green," "Blue Green," "Blue," and "Chrome" for colors. None of the stones seemed to have that almost Tsavorite-like green color of the LT inspiration Tourmaline ... the closest in color seemed to be in the CHROME category, but none of them had a large-facet-cushion cut ...

That's the color I want, @Rfisher. That's it! I do think it has to be a large faceted cushion.

@marymm - you're running into exactly the problem I ran into; either they're too big or too small. 20ct? No problem. 1.5ct? Sure - all day long! 4ct??? Like - NEVER.

@Neptune - perfect size - wrong color! Gaaah! it just makes me want to tear my hair out, because I'm SURE a year ago these were a lot easier to find! I have to say, tho, if I wanted blue-green, that gem would be PERFECT. What a beauty!

I'm not familiar with him, @musicloveranthony - can you tell me a bit about him, pls?

ETA. I tried both his Instagram and FB pages - both seem to be closed. Has he gone out of business?

ETA x 2. Also tried Petra Gems, with which he was associated, and they're 'temporarily closed' also. Not sure how long that's been for - my experience is that 'temporarily closed' normally morphs into permanently gone.

ETA x 3 - the problem is with Instagram and FB. I'll try again later.

VERY nice - and the perfect size. I don't want to pay for the setting, tho, and I find size-specific settings are tough to unload. I'm thinking about going with the first one I linked to: despite being huge and not eye clean, the color is sublime.
 
Try asking Jeff White if he has any suitable roughs in his vast inventory that he does not list.

Nearly all my stones from him were from existing stock!

I like the first one you linked to too, despite the inclusions, the colour is gorgeous. I have bought from this vendor before and I remember his hand shots being accurate.
