Looking for hot pink sapphire

Hi guys. I’m in the market for a natural hot pink sapphire. Open to lab but prefer natural. Heat treatment does not matter but prefer eye clean and around 8mm or larger.

I saw Finewater has one but does anyone else bookmark one to share with me?

Gemfix has some nice pink sapphires. I have never bought from them before though; perhaps others in the CS forum have.

For pink sapphires it is hard to reach to the vivid pink color. You would need to choose between clarity and color saturation.
Most of loupe clean ones do not have good colors and most of the ones with good colors have minor inclusions. If they have inclusion it is hard to get good cut and hard to get good fire from the gem.

It is a pretty good stone with good depth. I personally prefer thicker stones because they will have better fire and more pleasant to the eye. With the same weight, bigger table means thinly cut stone and poor fire.

Have you looked at Roger Dery gems? This sounds like something he would be likely to have in stock (although I honestly haven't checked to know for sure).

I think so, it looks like Roger have recently come back from a trip in Sri Lanka, and playing with his new gems, recutting, sending them to lab etc.~

I did not either. When I casually mentioned that my old setting used to hold an OEC diamond, he offered to cut it in OEC. I said, yes oh please!

Yes I did but I have not found an opportunity to capture its beauty yet. It will be set tomorrow and hopefullly I’ll get some pictures up.

Extremely beautiful and sparkly. I can imagine how hot pink she looks in real life. My tourmaline also photographs on the magenta side although it’s pure pink.
