Hello everybody,
I am looking for information on this 18k gold bracelet.
It was bought by my great great grandfather in the late 19th century (probably in London but it s not certain)
Thank you so much for your help

Pics of the bracelet :
And close ups:

Can you make out what any of the hallmarks are? That will give a definitive answer as to the country of origin.
It's a beautiful Victorian bangle though!

Where does it say 18k? I'm curious about this piece as well b/c if it were solid 18k gold, wouldn't it be distinctly weighty? Is that a silly question?

It looks like rolled gold with a different metal showing slightly through, on the clasp. Has it been tested electronically? The scratch test is not always reliable. It’s very beautiful!

It’s very pretty! Something about it reads later to me. It looks a little too perfect and consistent which makes me wonder if it wasn’t done entirely by hand. Of course, I could be wrong.

If it’s English the hallmarks will give you are place and date. can you post up a photo of the hallmarks?
