In searching for my ideal setting, I have found various elements I like in Ritani, Vera Wang/Tacori, Leon Mege, and many others. I have begun to think of going the custom ring route in order to incorporate all the elements I want...and then yesterday I found this Sheldon Speyer setting on the GOG website. Its gorgeous and exactly want I''m looking for (except for maybe some slight modifications to the prongs--perhaps a delicate double claw).

Anyway I did an internet search for Speyer and it turned up useless...the only link I found was the michael c fina link, and all the other links that looked promising didn''t work.

So here''s the question...what''s the scoop on Speyer? Does he have high quality craftsmenship? Where could I see the setting in person (I''m in Houston)? Does anyone else have this ring or one like it?

Here is the Michael C Fina link http://www.michaelcfina.com/ic/mcfina/PL041600000305.html?mv_arg=21
and the GOG gallery http://www.goodoldgold.com/pictures_of_settings.htm.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

I''m Apple''s groupie in this regard.....we have very similar setting tastes and I also just loooooove this look! And I also turned up almost nothing looking for Speyer!

Experts, any thoughts? We''re waiting with bated breath....

Have you guys seen this page from Good Old Gold here? Plus, I would email them or call them to see what they have to say about the quality, etc...

Oh, and me like too!!

Thanks stretch...I did see that page, but the thumbnails are too small to really see the detail.

. Actually I also tried to search for this designer, and all I can find is that first, the prices don''t seem ridiculous, and second, the name appears often described as "designer." So if I were you (which, damn! if you get that ring, then I really wish I was lol) I would email Good Old Gold and get more info. I bet you might even be able to get some better pages then what are scanned onto their site!

Good luck!!
