I saw the other threads... and went to well recommended La Soie and unfortunately did not find the right dress. Then tried Brides of California in Torrance and very few choices. Anyone can recommend someplace that has a large selection of dresses/ various designers and price points? or maybe places in Orange county? Trying to set appointment at Mariposa this weekend.

I know I do not want a huge ball gown or skinny sheath... but rather something like a strapless fitted A-line that is super tight upper body/ waist... maybe a little tight around hips... but not one that has lots of extra folded material to add bulk in back at thighs or butt.

Searching endlessly online ... but need to try stuff on!

Thx!

I''ve heard Mon Amie has a huge selection. I''ve been meaning to get up there.

hello, green, i''m in orange county, so i''ll give you the list of the places i went to:

1- the dresser, fullerton - this is where i ended up buying my dress
2- the wedding day, fountain valley - i liked a few dresses there
3- la soie, tustin - i didn''t find anything for myself, but there were some lovely dresses
4- maryme bridal, orange - this place was like a zoo to me, way too many people, but they did have a large selection
5- mariposa, anaheim - they had a good sized collection, but nothing caught my eye
6- mon amie, costa mesa - they have a large selection, but i felt the saleswoman was a bit too pushy for me, but i''m sure it differs depending on the person helping you

hope this helps! good luck dress hunting!
