Macy's garnet ring

I just received the following ring - an unexpected gift from my parents. I actually own a very unique garnet ring from etsy that has significant meaning so i'm torn about also getting this ring (which is a mass-produced one and it's similar to the style of my future ering)....but I figure I can switch them around.

No where am I seeing whether or not this garnet is natural or lab created. Does anyone know?
I don't have any pictures of my current ring. The garnet looks nearly flawless...although there might me some windowing in the center (it's hard to tell with garnet because it's such a dark stone).

Garnets in this color are not terribly expensive nor is it precision cut, which means its really going to be cheap, so they more or less paid for the setting. I would not doubt its real. Enjoy and wear it in good health!
