Malachite in Antarctica

Hubby and I just returned from a fabulous cruise on Silversea Cloud luxury expedition ship to Antarctica round trip from Ushaiua.

One of our stops was at Brown Station in Paradise Bay. Look up in the mountains and there are veins of malachite. Of course we saw lots of penguins.

230 crew for 200 passengers. All inclusive, we don't drink but alcohol but was flowing freely on that ship. Each suite assigned a room steward and a butler. Russian caviar that we didn't eat. Filet mignon every night if you wanted. Maine lobster tails.

Belgian chocolate truffles for turndown chocolates .

We each got an expedition jacket , backpack and water bottle.

Bulgari toiletries.

What else? Best cruise of our 36 cruises.

We just booked another expedition cruise with Silversea, this time to the Russian Far East and western Alaska, Aleutian Islands, and stops in the Bering sea.




Hubby submitted a photo of a humpback Whale to a tracking database.
