I''m not Mara, but thanks for posting those pics Matata. That is a great bag!!! I am going to be in Las Vegas next week so I may have to check that out at the LV boutique since I don''t have a store near where I live.

OH Matata I LOVE IT....seriously that is so going to be my next bag. Now just have to figure out where to sneak it in...

I love the strap for over the body, sometimes you just don''t feel like carrying the purse!

I just went to the eLux site and they have the Bosphore on there...it looks fabulous, mega drool. I also looked at the wallets again....hmmmm.

Welllllll....so today I was at Stanford mall with one of my best friends, a total LV whore..her mother has literally 99% of the LV''s ever made and most of the Tod''s and Chloe''s and Marc Jacobs and whatever else you can think of. She literally has a purse closet.

Anyway my GF was picking up her wallet which she''d had repaired..and I of course asked if they had the Bosphore, well the guy pulls one out and places it into my hands and....

I tried it on, fiddled with the strap...

He told me that they are raising their prices on the 22nd. Their annual or bi-annual price raising...

I looked at my friend. I looked at him (one of the store managers, very sweet younger guy..)....

I was a goner! I said I''ll take it!!

He said gift wrap? I said SURE! It comes with that snazzy chocolate brown box that''s great for storing sweaters and similar in it in the closet.

He said that style was getting popular, I hoped not too popular since I don''t want everyone on the street and their sister to be wearing it!!

And so it came home with me!! I had some anxiety over telling my darling husband about it, especially after promising originally that my previous LV would tide me over for ''years''...but I reminded him that he''d been on a ski trip all weekend with the boys and I figured that this cost as least as much as his fun ''must have'' trip...

..oh and this style was very versatile and I''d still wear my other LV as well and could switch them out.

Somehow the magic worked and he said ...awww alright...

So tomorrow I''ll have to post pictures! I''m so excited...I really love it...it is PERFECT for across the body when I don''t want to be carrying an additional bag!

Oh how exciting Mara!!! Can''t wait for the pics tomorrow. Ya know I use that excuse when Hubby is away golfing. Works every time. Well most of the time. Good for you!!! Glad Greg went along with it, hehe.

Ha ha, Mara--(not to horn in on this thread, but...) if my husband goes out of town with the boys for pleasure trips, he knows darn well he has to make up for it somehow! The first few trips I didn''t say much, but after his excursions the past year or so I realized, Hey! I''m not taking any girl trips or doing anything out of the ordinary, and he gets to leave and go off to do his thing while I hang out and do the same old--I-don''t-think-so! And that''s when I brought up the Tag Heuer watch, lol! You are a girl after my own heart, Mara!

haha I actually just hit upon it after the purchase...I was feeling kind of guilty for buying it when I knew G would not be that jazzed since my previous LV was only what...4 months ago? And then thought HEY he was just away with the guys all weekend, spending money, buying rounds of drinks for the boys, smoking cigars, spending money on skiing and hot tubbing and I was home alone with Portia!! Don''t I deserve a lil somethin somethin?!?!

Now I''m going ''honey when is your next trip?'' ... hee hee...!! Well not really...it was lonely in the house without him!

It''s always good to have them home!
