Those aren't my legs...they are Daphne legs....they actually belong to Sarah Michelle Gellar.

It was the best I could do on such short notice, per Josh's request.

Men!

they fail the ideal HCA score for spread !!!

D'oh! Ok, ok!

That was the first thing that caught my eye when I first met my wife too.

Garry, wouldn't the ideal score for spread be SMG's legs?! aka no spread at all!!

Yer a leg man, Rhino....my dear fiance is a derriere man. He's always telling me about the latest derriere that he spotted...hee hee...oh and then he finishes it with something like 'It reminded me of you...'

LMAO!!! Actually you're right Gary. Perhaps a tad boney? I do like a lil sumptin to hold onto.

hehe... perhaps we should move this conversation to a different place... steamroom?

Funny, I was wondering what up with the Go Go boots (dating me). Then, I remembered the Scooby theme.

Hey, the Go-Go boots and all that are back... Robin's got an entire closet full of boots! Just ask Peter at the AGSL he trips every time she walks down the aisle

Mara:

If your fiance is a derriere man you'd better not let him near our Denise :-)Our one jeweler cannot concentrate when she walks in and when she doesn't stop by for a while he asks where "Big B-tt" is?

HA Lesley!! According to Greg...it's not really about the size....but rather the QUALITY.

HeeHee.

Nice to see everyone's liberally swilling the eggnog.

I thought those were Mara's legs too. I even emailed my fiance 'cause he's a) seen Mara's picture and b) is a bona fide leg man. He wouldn't find those bony at all. Alas, they belong to someone else. But I think if we keep working on Mara we can get her to post a shot of her gams. "Who's that knockin' on my door?/It's gotta be a quarter to four...."

Mara, that is too funny. I erase what I wrote before. Defintely not large & sassy but controled bubble. Yeah, a cold & wine - that's a great mix.

BTW, hubby is a leg man also. Can't figure that one out. I fondly refer to my legs as "bird leg F&I". But, they do go on forever. My inseam is longer than his.

Yeah, Go Go's are in again - YEAH!. Sadly, I like the ones that reached just mid calf. They used to be worn w/ shorter skirts. Now, the taller ones are the fashion. I'm not a dope. My little calfs can't pull it off.

Signing off.

What is the deal with men and tall boots? When Greg and I were first dating, I took him tall boot shopping with me and I swear that was what made him fall in love with me. He still fondly recalls that shopping expedition and he is NOT a shopper!

I'm going to go out [real far] on a limb here and say that it has something to do with every picture we looked at as young men... Pavlov's Dog Theory and all that

I can explain the phenomenon in two words: Emma Peel.

F&I, those mid-calf boots actually look better on women with thin calves & long legs, IMO. They're not especially flattering to shorter, larger legs because they tend to chop the wearer's legs, visually. So wear them and be proud. I have my eye on some at the Tyson's Neiman Marcus.

I agree CG...I have long legs and thinner calves (I call 'em chicken legs but Greg loves 'em) and my boots need to be pull on like the Franco Sarto ones (like Daphne!) because the stiffer zipped ones don't look as flattering, they leave too much space for the calf which I don't have as much of.
2.gif
It's cool though because the pull-ons are usually stretchy/clingy which is much more appealing while in a miniskirt than a clunky boot!

it seems like I need to do something about that blue blob in my avatar

Gosh, CG! Flashback for me. I remember when the original "The Avengers" series ran on TV!

ewwww yukkkkk!!! they are waaaaayyyy to skinny. Chicken legs
errrr.gif
The knees are fatter than the calves.

I like them nice and shapely, thats how they should be
love.gif

Although theres not much you can do if your born with chicken legs. I used to know steroid freaks in the gym who had massive upper bodies, and legs like Mara's avatar. They would constantly work on the legs to no avail and mine were twice the size with no working out. Go figure. It's all about genetics.

I'm embarrassed to say that I dress *alot* like Emma Peel when I am not in Jeans. Wait a minute - even my jean jacket is so Emma Peel. I'm usually in black & I wear turtle necks even in the summer. Not a present holiday passes w/o Mr SPYGIRL buying me a black turtle neck. Remember, my husband is convinced I was a spy in a former life.

Yeah, the mid-calf boots do look best on me; but, I didn't think those were to be worn w/ short skirts. I can't wear skirts that fall just above my knee. They have to be short or very long.

Mara, I can't even wear the boots that you pull up. They even fall down. I can usually wear only boots made in Spain or Italy. In the shopping catagory thread about shoes you can read my obession w/ black boots. I have small narrow feet. I'm a bear to fit.

I love boots. When I was a kid, I would put on my Go Go boots, play Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Were Make for Walking" & march around & around & around as the song played over & over & over again. I think I've mentioned this before. My siblings think I am quite the curiousity.

The only boots NOT made for wearing with short skirts are ANKLE BOOTS. The incredibly ugly stepchild of boots!!
