Have you seen mia1181''s wedding photos? She was married in a courthouse... it looks like it was a gorgeous ceremony. Here''s her post (hope she doesn''t mind!!):

I think she had the perfect courthouse wedding dress.

I wore a knee length strapless black dress (yes PS'ers I ran off and got married in Nov...some of you may have noticed I started saying hubby...the formal ceremony is still May though...sry for the thread jack!)
Yes we were also thinking about the local botanical garden and maybe a reception afterwards but clearly that would take some planning.Date: 4/22/2009 10:39:33 AM

It was just a judget. We didnt have any high expectations though because we still are having our ''real'' wedding next month. I was a little put off by the fact he didnt even have his suit jacket on though...it was on his desk chair behind him! The way it apppeared to me was he was making a quick $$$ right before a lunch break in his office. The way the marriage license work in Harris county is that when you GET the marriage license, you have to sign it. THEN you wait 72hrs (I think that much) and you can get married...THEN the officant/judge signes it after you get married. I didnt even SIGN IT that day! I was like...HUH?! I dont sign anything?!?!? Nope...I guess when I signed when we applied to get it.
There are many nice elopment stories and if you feel its right for you there are lots of option. You can elope and not go to a courthouse as well! There are many cute little get-away chapels all over the country that do elopments all the time! Your not limited to a court house if you dont want to be! ANd there are beautiful courthouses as well...mine just wanst one of them! LOL!
