thank you so much for all of your sweet comments! we lucked out in having a beautiful venue, a gorgeous day, and a great photographer. i''ll try to answer all of your questions...

the dress: i found alcenon lace that i fell in love with at a fabric store and sent it to my mother ~2500 miles away. i told her i wanted a sleeveless, v-neck sheath with a short train. (she made more of a slim a-line rather than a sheath though.) i tried it on for the first time 3 weeks before the wedding. the second time i put it on was on the wedding day. it fit like a glove. she''s amazing.

the location: we got married at la valencia in san diego (la jolla actually). we had the ceremony in the garden and the reception inside.

the photographer: what can i say about her? she did a great job! half the time we didn''t even know she was there. she was pretty new when we hired her so she was significantly less expensive than other photographers in the area.

novia=bride. it can also be used for girlfriend.

you can see more detail here. each of the pearls were sewn onto the lace individually by my mom!
the dress is ivory. i think it just looks darker here because of the lighting. you can see the color better in the outdoor shots.

Congratulations!!!!!! Everything looks wonderful and awesome. Your dress was beautiful and sooo special seeing as your mother made it and took the time to hand sew the beads on. Your hair was lovely, Your location breath taking - your pictures divine - and your reception looks delicious!
I am so glad everything went so well. But please - we do need more pictures - we starve for lots of pictures - giggle
