I just got a photo of the wedding band that matches my ering. Not too excited about it. Bleh- looks almost spiky? Anyone have any suggestions? A curved diamond band? Plain white band? Antique finish?

I posted this in "show me the ring", but people have much prettier things to look at-- I don''t blame them!

I agree that it''s kind of odd looking, it''s definitely unique, but not my style (and it seems not yours either). I think you should just go into some B&M stores and try things on to get an idea of what looks good with your ring. Some rings require a custom piece to get the look that you might really want, so I think it''s just up to trying things on to get ideas.
My ring doesn''t really go with any of the bands out there unless I want something that doesn''t sit flush, so I''ll either go the custom route, or I might get some stackable bands to wear on their own without my e-ring, or maybe wear e-ring on my right hand.

Misysu2,
Yeah... So welcome to the wonderful world of looking for a band to match an unusual ring!
I have spent a large chunk of time looking into this. There are sooooo many cool bands out there and a few convos here on the topic. You might be interested in something
flowery something estate or a plain band...yeah, those are less fun to browse...

Bri Bree's advice is awesome, go out and try stuff on. What I thought I wanted I sooooo don't now that I've looked around. But no pressure here, its not like you have to wear it for the rest of your life!

And your ring is gorgeous!!!!!! Wear it in health!

is custom an option for you? I think an antiqued curved band would look nice and simple but I don''t know if you can just "pick one up" somewhere. Hmmm... wish I had some better ideas for you! Your ring is beautiful

Thanks for your help ladies! I love my ring and think it''s gorgeous, but I don''t think it looks gorgeous anymore with that matching band.

I''m going to go to some B&M stores, and maybe an antique store. I was thinking maybe something like this would match the leaf pattern. What do you think? http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2944120/0~2376779~6008000~2374603~2374939?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=2374939&P=2

A straight band wouldn''t sit flush against the ering because there''s a little outward curve to the center of the ering, but I don''t think the gap wouldn''t bother me because it''d be so small. However, I think I''ll check out some curved bands just to make sure. How do curved bands work? Seems like it''d be tricky to find one that fits flush against any one particular ring...

If it''s not your style, I would definitely have another look around or go custom. I think that a curved band would look lovely with it and wouldn''t take away from your r-ring. I would go try on lots and see which looks the best.

My vote is cast for a band with an antique finish. I ran into the same problem as you with the "matching band" they offered. Blech. I like the idea of the ering and wband not being exactly "matchy-matchy." I once heard from a jeweler that jewelry worn together should be close cousins, not identical twins. I went for the same look with my band.

Good luck finding something you love! Beautiful, unique ering by the way!

ETA: I also like the look of a band that doesn't sit exactly flush with the ering - that's how mine will look. It's different and it actually has more presence on the finger - more finger estate!

Hmmm... yeah, it looks like it might bite you. BE CAREFUL!!!

I don''t know what to suggest, but i do feel your pain. The Bulgari Beast ain''t that easy to match either. I just went wtih a very thin, plain platinum band, hoping that it would sort of hide behind The Beast. Seems to look fine!

Maybe try that?

Ew, what an akward design! An antique/antique style curved diamond band would be lovely though. Something like the band with this ring.
Or this one with a suprise diamond.

How about a tiffany swing ring, in all diamonds? It would match the shape of the 'leaves'. There are plenty of look-alikes out there, also, though I found that most had milgrain, which I don't think would match the smooth look of your ring. http://www.tiffany.com/shopping/CategoryBrowse.aspx?cid=288201&mcat=148206#p+1-n+12-cg+viewPaged-c+288201-s+5-r+-t+-ri+-ni+1-x+-pu+

Good Luck. Pretty ring!

ETA: Duhh! Just like the one you posted! Sorry for not checking your link first!

Haha thanks! I'm glad we're on the same track! I'm going to see if I can hunt one of those down at Nordstrom's. :)
