I also posted this in Rocky Talk (did I say that right?).. sorry for the dupe, I'm new to posting here :)

What effect will the medium fluorescence have on the appearance of color in the diamond? I've read a handful of threads and arguments and overall it seems the fluorescence should only "add" to the colorless appearance and not enhance the tint.. am I right? Does anyone have pics of an I color with medium fluorescence? The struggle to find a diamond I love in our price range is REAL.

For reference.. I'm looking for a 1.25 carat round solitaire, H-I (I like a slightly warmer diamond, not yellow, just warmer..). Still learning about cut and clarity, but I definitely want eye-clean, maybe even VS1-2.

Thank you!

I am curious to know this too!

I have an I colored stone with medium fluoro. if you look on the front page of Show Me The Bling you'll see a photo I took today of my e-ring reflecting the color of my shirt. Alternately, if you look through my threads you'll see many photos.

The only tint I see in my ring is from the side; from the top it's nice and white.

I can see the fluorescence sometimes in the sun.

In most stones it will make it face up a tiny amount whiter in some lighting situations, in a small percentage of stones it can impact them negatively ie make them look slightly milky, frosty or as though the stone is straining to sparkle in some lighting situations. That's why unless it's something like a Brian Gavin Blue that all are supposed to be positively not negatively impacted by it you should always ask if it has any negative impact at all on the stone.
