That's impressive!
dwj6211 I love your eternity band! Do you find that it catches on things or not really? It is very beautiful!
Nice! That looks great - low profile but a lot of 'bling'Here’s the Leon Mege one.
You know what.... not as much as you’d think. It’s pretty low profile... come to think of it, I’ve never really had it catch on anything. I actually thought it would have and been more uncomfortable to wear.... it’s super comfy.
I am actually thinking about trading it in for a upgrade and slightly different style... I’ve always loved the Leon Mege Hampton Band. It’s an East to West emerald cut band. At the time, round diamonds gave me more size for my budget, whereas the emerald cut would have looked substantially smaller for the carat weight.
Here’s the Leon Mege one.
I actually just traded in a 1.3 ct F VS1 cushion cut for a 2.38 ct H vvs2 Asscher because I can't get step cuts out of my head. (Perhaps this is a diagnosable sickness?)
That looks like it has great fire and white light return!@OoohShiny sure thing - taking pics was so hard as the Stone was flashing steps like crazy. I went there with the intent of getting an F vs2 2.49 ct stone but this H stone performed so much better that I changed my mind. Asschers are tricky to hunt for and I watched so many good old gold YouTube videos that convinced me to prioritize cut rather than color and judging in person rather than stats alone. That looks like it has great fire and white light return!
Another case of PS learning applied to great effect
I can't wait to see it set!
(Oh, and paging @Matthews1127 for the eye candy lol)
*Drooling*
WOW!! Such a beautiful Asscher!! Look at the rainbow flashes!!! *Gasp* BEAUTIFUL!! JUST BEAUTIFUL!!!
Great job prioritizing cut over color. H is near-Colorless....you’ll barely notice tint, and with flashes like those, no one else will be able to tell, either!! GORGEOUS!! Congratulations on a wonderful find!!
@OoohShiny, thank you for sharing the eye candy with me!!!
Thanks so much for the feedback @Matthews1127 and @OoohShiny! I'm thinking about posting in rocky talky as well but i'm afraid of the experts identifying leakage or a sub par facet or something haha...
@kevnick80 wowwwwwww
I must admit to stalking you on Insta and fell over backwards when you posted the sapphire ring yesterday
Could you share some stats around the gorgeous sapphire...and also the stunning emerald? I've recently started checking out (non diamond) stones and am finding the selection process rather tricky.
I love your designs and the blackened look, really feels more masculine and modern.
All of this begs the question - What is your next project?
Jewel obsessed is the way to be!
Ah ok thanks for the insight - Holding onto an unset stone for "years" must have been hard as you worked on a setting idea.
I feel like I need a blackened gold piece now...
Haha. Glad you like my instagram. I’m a little jewel-obsessed!
I did buy the stones a few years ago, they are both just under 2ct each. The emerald is Colombian and I actually love the inclusions in it. The sapphire is Burmese.
I saw an offset diamond ring on instagram a while ago and thought this would be a good creation for the sapphire as it was just sitting in the safe doing nothing. The blackened design really does make the blue pop, and as you say, makes it look more masculine.
The emerald ring was inspired by a ring I saw by Hemmerle but I made the metal a big more angular.
Just posting a link to the awesome faux-tension set ring with a 0.42ct CBI that @cyberpiv has had made!
