Thanks very much! Aloha, TimReally really nice ring!! The stone is beautiful and masculine. Wow!!
I saw "My balony shell ring..." and spent way too long looking for the balonyMy a baloney shell ring:
Thanks @missy - imagine my surprise when the red box appeared!
The only issue is now I have to come up with a reciprocal birthday gift lol:
Does your spouse love Cartier as much as you do? Perhaps a matching or complementary bracelet would make a lovely birthday gift? Or another piece from Cartier. I mean, who doesn't love getting that little red box? It excites me way more than the little blue box (no disrespect meant to any Tiffany lover and I appreciate Tiffany too but Cartier is more my speed).
@Sfadman have you seen this thread? Lots of Cartier eye candy and perhaps it will help you decide. Of course I would suggest you choose what your spouse would be over the moon to receive and that might be slightly different than your preferences. I know my dh and I have different taste in jewelry so we never choose for each other and when we buy bling gifts there are no more surprises for that reason. But each couple varies and sometimes getting a surprise is really really nice.

And I am also with you re wanting to get the most bang for our buck and not buying branded pieces generally. But that makes the few branded pieces one does own extra special. Good luck and please let us know what you decide!
can you tell us about the ring on the bottom?
ps - do you have a shop where you sell things?
Hi. It was a long time ago when I bought it so details are sketchy. It’s an E, VVS1, over 2.5cts.
And what do you mean about a shop where I sell things?
Sorry, I thought for some reason you were a jewellery maker (probably because of all the lovely things you post). My bad!
I wish I were! I’m good at the design, just not at the creation!
The bottom one is amazing, They are all beautiful... but the last one has got me all hot under the collar! It looks like a Baguette, which is so unusual as it's so large I tried to attain a Baguette shape over 0.75ts recently & really struggled - what is the shape specified on the cert? Hope you don't mind my asking
Not at all.
All the documents are in a safe but I think it’s along the lines of a carré cut.
Ah ok, it's a beautiful stone was it bought from an estate sale & re-mounted or sourced separately? I enjoy seeing all your pieces - You seem to add a fabulous piece each week, makes great bling candy
Hi.
It was sourced separately. It’s a stunning stone. I’m really quite lucky with all my jewellery. It’s my passion. I tend to buy stones first as that is what speaks to me. Then I design the piece around the jewel.
I’ve just bought a beautiful ruby and posted about it (in the coloured gemstones forum) - that’s my next project.
Glad you like!
That ruby is a stunner. Do you buy your stones in person or online? I'm having such a hard time with online coloured stones....you just can't really see what you're getting. :/
