Post your meteorite jewelry here!

I have two pieces of meteorite jewelry. Pallasite from the Seymchan meteorite (Place of meteorite fall-Russia, Magadan region. Found in 1967, coordinates of fall - 62° 54'N, 152° 26'E) and the second is Pallasite from the Sericho meteorite found in 2016 in Kenya. Pallasite is composed of olivine crystals in a matrix of 94% iron and 6% nickel approximately.

Today the mailman said, "This came a long way - Russia!" when he handed me the package. I explained that it was a meteorite from outer space and he was delighted!

Great - kryptonite....

I have a faceted stone from this Pallasite.

This one is o.k.!! Some start to corrode quite early but not Seymchan RUS and a quite similar pallasite from Argentina - Esquel

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esquel_(meteorite)

You should clean it after wearing.IMG_1767.PNG

The little round is a Pallasite from Seymchan
The other are Forsterite from Myanmar, a "Dunilite" from Sri Lanka and a unique Mangan bearing ( Tephroite) Forsterite - extremely rare.

Peridot is Fosterite ( Mg) and Fayalite ( Fe ) mix - Mangan analogon is Tephroite.

How exciting Nosean! What a collection! I love the Forsterite! I am amazed by these.

But they are small - around 0,10 ct each one...

Colorless Forsterite is not difficult to find...

My faceted, gia certified pallasite peridot. In between the two hayuine, above the black opal.

Recycled an old picture because I'm far to lazy to take a new one of just the pallasite peridot.

Yay! I remember that one! Set by Sally right? Love it!

I was expecting to open this post and for it to be unappealing to look at but I have to say it's very cool!!!!

Very cool!

I'm more of a fan of etched meteorite jewellery (with the patterns, the subtle greys, the cold glow and all), but these polished ones also look pretty interesting. :)
