mia1181, I need Moorea advice!

Hi mia1181!

I am in the midst of honeymoon planning and saw that you stayed at the Sheraton Moorea in an OWB. My fiance and I are hoping to stay at the Sheraton (now the Hilton) on Moorea and I have a question. How did you decide which bungalow to choose? The Hilton offers 4 "levels" of OWBs and I wish I could just see a map of which bungalow falls into what category! The options are:

[*]KING LAGOON BUNGALOW

[*]KING OVER WATER BUNGALOW

[*]KING OVER WATER HORIZON

[*]KING PANORAMIC OVER WATER

How do I choose based on a rough description on the Hilton website? Any help you can give would be great-- and anyone else is welcome to chime in, too!

Hey, your links aren''t working, but it sounds like the OWBs only differ in their view. We were in Moorea just over a month ago (but stayed in a beach bungalow), but we went to Bora Bora as well where we stayed in an OWB. We actually ended up splitting our days between a lagoon-ish OWB (more smack in the middle of the lagoon, so relatively shallow...water was up to our neck when we jumped in) and a panoramic-ish OWB (deeper water, beautiful view of the ocean). My husband preferred the latter, while I preferred the former.

What I would suggest though, would be to pay extra for an OWB further away from the beach. It''s so much more seclusive, and obviously would have a much better view.
