Miley Cyrus caught in racy pictures!

So Miley Cyrus (the 15-year-old daughter of Billie Ray Cyrus (don't tell muh huh-art...) and cash cow of the Cyrus family) was caught in some not so Disney and downright sexual poses involving bras, panties, no shirt and boys for the second time in 6 months this week. She's like the new Britney Spears, but with a smoker's lung. She claims to be very religious, moral and a "wait until marriage" kind of girl, but her actions state otherwise. She also made 15.8 million dollars last year.
Do you or would you let your kids own anything endorsing her or her TV/music career, but not her personal life?

I saw some of them on the morning news the other day, so I checked on net. I wonder if they''re really her (but at the same time wouldn''t be that surprised). Some are very obviously photoshopped.

Personally it doesn''t effect my opinion one bit and if I kids I wouldn''t change their habits. I have posed nude for artists, as has my FI, there is nothing wrong with it. As for the "moral", waiting til marriage thing, I think the hypocrisy is problematic, but I didn''t wait until marriage and the vast majority of Americans don''t, so I see no reason that would somehow taint my kids.

I see it as a difference.
A) She's vastly underage,
B) The pictures are not nor are meant to be art,
C) She has stated in interviews about the sex before marriage thing, otherwise I wouldn't have brought it up. If you're going to state such a thing (and make youtube videos praising Jesus and her religion, as well), and then leak pictures of your (minor) self laying ontop of a teenage boy with no shirt on, it's teaching tweens to say what people want to hear and then do the total opposite as if that's okay.

Did anyone see her on Oprah? She seemed really jaded by celebrity. It''s really clear that she has no idea how a 15 year old should act - racy photos or not.

But what bothered me most is how Billy Ray repeats in interviews "I just want her to know I''m her friend."

Ugh! This is what''s wrong with overindulged teens today! Parents want to be friends rather than...parents.

And...random fun fact, I read in Us that her real name is Destiny. Destiny Cyrus. Doesn''t really have the same ring, does it?

It used to be Destiny, I guess they legally changed it a few weeks back.

I think it is really sad if she has been accused and found guilty by many people and then the photos turn out to be fakes. Why do we always want to believe the worst about someone?

It is sad when people go out of their way to instigate smear compaigns and controvery for ratings.
On the other hand, I do think the hypocrisy is appalling. Britney was the epitome of hypocrisy. Say what you will about Jessica Simpson and her Dad, at least she meant it when she was saving herself for marriage. I don''t care if you want to shag before marriage, but I can''t stand deception and deceit. It'' my hot button. I think it''s evil.

It is also sad when the kids are the money makers for the family and the parents lose their sense of responsibility for their "children" and the kids become a "commodity". Britney and Lindsay Lohan are prime examples...as are the Olsen twins.

Christina Aguilera was the only one out of that bunch that dove straight into controversy with her sexed up LP, but turned out to the be the one level headed of the bunch and has made (so far as I can tell) grown up choices and is relatively emotionally mature and stable.

Our celebrity culture is being used as a way to keep the masses preoccupied with meaningless drivel so they don''t educate themselves about the things that matter. I think the tide is changing with our younger generation. Or at least, I hope it is.

Okay, I''m just throwing this in there because I''m a country fan, and yes, I did the Achy Breaky!

Miley''s given name was Destiny Hope Cyrus. Her folks nicknamed her SMILEY which became MILEY. And, yes, her name has been legally changed to Miley Ray Cyrus.

As far as the pics, I haven''t seen them and can not judge. I really hope that Miley is one of the "new generation" who can keep it together. Our kids definitely need better role models.

And, as a side note, I didn''t take racy pics until I was 17.

If you know how to use Photoshop you can do unbelievable stuff to a photo. You can make someone totally look like they were somewhere they should not be or doing something nasty. I hate to say it but I almost do not believe most of these things with these photos. A good photographer can doctor a photo so easily.

Some of the pictures dont exactly look like her but full hair, makeup etc. or the lack therof makes a big difference. I dont know, On one side I want to say oh she is just being a kid but....I never took pictures & never even thought about it as a kid. Look at the recent story "Trading Nude Photos Via Mobile Phone Now Part of Teen Dating, Experts Say" That is just crazy. I''m only 28 & kids are so different from when I was in school.

I've been pretty successful at blotting his DWTS turn from my memory). From what I've read, Miley's parents do keep a pretty tight reign on her and don't particularly indulge her. Call me a Pollyanna, but I'd like to think that she has a good chance of making it to adulthood multiple stints in rehab.

I totally agree. I also believe these photos are pretty tame. How old is she - 15 or so? When I was 15 I shopped at Merry Go Round - and, well, thank God cell phone cameras didn't exist! Games of Truth or Dare were way more racy than these pictures. I wasn't a tramp - I was actually the church pianist and I truly believed I would "wait until marriage" (but what you want at 15 isn't what you want at 19 or 21, 25, etc). I also believe I would marry Ricky Martin. So I guess I don't see how making a statement at age 14 could be considered hypocrisy - when you don't really yet know how life "works". And seriously, what teenager would publicly declare - "I can't wait to have sex!"- especially when she is being asked these kind of questions in interviews. She seems pretty normal to me.
