If it were me I''d ask for black magic roses, dark red peonies, DARK burgundy mini callas, green hygrangea, green denrobium orchid sprays, and either green or red amaranthus, white dendrobiums. Then I''d ask them to mix those in with some less expensive flowers like green kale which is a lovely bright color and looks rose like, some white spider mums, some white, red or green hypericum berries, green china berries, bright green button mums, dark dark red dalias and ranunculous.

Lots of flowers to choose from.

I love the addition of fruits to centerpieces they take up a nice amount of space and aren''t expensive so granny smith apples or bright green pears would be fabulous. Here goes.

I have a bunch and have to do them one by one so just stay tuned.

This is bouquet a particular favorite of mine... it''s a red flower that is really Christmasy, and only avialable at that time of the year amarylis. The bouquet isn''t a DARK red, but you could add in some dark callas if and do black magic red roses, instead of the amazon roses in this bouquet. I would only use the Amarylis them for your bouquet if you like them they can get pricey. Potted Amarylis would make lovely centerpieces too,BTW.

ANother, with more green, and some white.

Personal favorite for a bouquet:

Dark red calla and red roses.jpg

Green BM bouquets with Dark red dresses. Love this look. I would do it with Green hydrangeas, green dendrobiums, and green berries (either china or hypericum), and green roses if you want them too.

Ceremony decorations... can be used at reception too. If you don''t want them solid, I''d add in either small green crab apples, or some green hydrangeas. But I love the look of these. So festive.

Now to the centerpiece ideas... first with apples.

Now with Pears..

These are interesting... I think they would benifit from some bright green flowers or some granny smith apples. I love the apples, personally.

Pretty Cake Topper...

Another centerpiece idea... I''d do this but with some black magic roses added in for you. Or do one all green hygrangeas like this. One all red roses. One White hygrangeas solid (or all white carnations solid).

And for a lower cost centerpiece alternative... I LOVE These which I''ve posted before.

These just scream winter wedding to me. Keep them coming Gypsy! They''re gorgeous!

Whoops! Forgot the pic.

And these are gingerB''s kissing balls. Black Magic roses. Kissing balls are SO Christmas... plus you can add in some bright green dendrobiums if you want the bright green in there.

That's all I got. LOL. I told you I had pics of your color scheme. I was contemplating a Christmas wedding for us... and this is EXACTLY what I would have chosen.

OH I totally forgot. BELLS OF IRELAND! In that kissing ball, in those roses with candles in silver bowls... I LOVE bells of Ireland. Great bright green. Great combo of a filler green and a flower.

Star of Bethlehem are gorgeous too. White tips and lovely green rest. Small, great accent or filler.

wow gypsy, thank you SO MUCH! those are all really beautiful. i especially love the bouquet with the dark calla lilies. so pretty! it''s definitely given me a better idea of some options...before all i knew was that i wanted dark red and green haha. so thanks again!

p.s. my FI and i were looking at these last nite and he said "Gypsy? i think that''s the girl who helped me find your ring" and sure enough we went back and you helped him find some stones AND the setting that he ended up getting for me! so it turns out i have a lot more to thank you for than just the pictures!

mmmm.....black magic roses. 80% of my flowers are baccarias. Love ''em.

gypsy! wow! so many great ideas. i am in love with the third bouquet you posted. i''m definitely coming to you when i need some wedding ideas!

LMAO. Really? How funny is that. Well you are MORE than welcome for both, and anything else I can help you with. That bouquet with the callas is one of my personal favorites. Of all of them, that would have been my choice if I''d gone with your color scheme. I would have added some really dark red accents to all the floral arrangements to match.

I actually spent last night looking up bouquet options for other color combos in case anyone else needs some help. It''s a LOT of fun for me. I love flowers. SO v!v! you are more than welcome to ask for any help you need.

Therube... I love Black Baccara roses. But they can be pricier the the Black Magic, and I like the shape of the Black Magics when open better, personally. Rex begonia leaves are the MOST STUNNING green to use to accent this if you don''t want a BRIGHT lime green, but a more silvery green.

Mimzy, I just looked. I remember you FI very well now. I love that ring, and I was SO Happy when he got that setting with that stunning EC of yours. He was one of my favorites to help because he REALLY wanted something fabulous to you. You have a great guy!

Hmm, I love all of it, except the apples. Personally, I am not feeling the apples so much. But it''s your wedding, so if you love apples, then applies it is!

Actually these aren''t for my wedding or anyones (other than whoever posted the original pics), they are just ideas for the color scheme. As for liking them? It''s a personal preference. For me, it cuts down on flower prices, fits the season (winter, apples, etc) and has a lovely bright green color.

Sorries, I must have misread the post!

Anyway, good point. Definitely would cut down! I do love granny smith apples. So sweet.

LOL. Flowers are expensive. Whatever you can stick in there to take up space that''s affordable, fits your scheme and takes up space is a large bonus. One of the loveliest centerpieces I''ve seen is plasic bowls stray painted metallic silver filled with fruit the bride sugared herself and interspesed with some spray roses. I think they cost her like 30 bucks a peice over all and of course, a lot of time.

I also kind of like the idea of candles instead of flowers. Mercury glass pillar candlesticks woohoo.

If you find those will you link me? I''m on the hunt for some interesting candle options. CHEAP, interesting candle options, mind you. I''m spending a fortune on flowers and tablecloth overlays, and chair sashes as it is. Any other decorative items need to be REALLY inexpensive.

Hmmm..don't know if these count as cheap. But maybe you could find rentals. Okay so here are the ones at target: Hurricane one

Votive

I don't see the pillar on the website, but they had them at my target when I went about 2 weeks ago. So check your local target.

Pottery barn:
Votive

I have another one from somewhere, I will add it later for you after I find it.

Hmm, not letting me edit my post. Anyway, here they are: Set of 6 votives
Blast you! Those are STUNNING. And WAY out of my price range. I need notive holders under a buck each. I need about 48 of them. HOWEVER... those have given me a great idea of spray painting cheap votives with high heat paint to get a look I like.
