i have heard that if an e-ring and a wedding band are to be worn together that they should be composed of the same metal. otherwise, they will wear away at each other. is this true? my e-ring is made of 18k wg and the wedding band that i want is made of platinum. will this pose a major problem?

Nope. There have been a bunch of threads about this, but the general idea is that over time, the platinum will get that "brushed" look while the white gold turns slightly yellow. But the plat can be polished, and the WG re-plated.

monkeypie, thank you so much for your response! we plan on getting our wedding bands very soon and i need this info. i looked for info on this topic but was unable to find it- maybe i''m not looking under the correct subject. do you know the names of the threads?
